View the last backup status and details about backup jobs for user workloads

Overview

The Last Backup Status report provides details of the last backup and the status of the last backup. You can analyze and take corrective actions based on the last backup status.

Quick Filters

  • Workload: Select the desired workload from the drop-down menu.

  • Profile: Choose the user profile you want to filter by.

  • App Status: Choose the desired app status to filter by.

  • Last Backup Status: Select the desired last backup status of the workload.

Summary

  • Total Backups: The total number of backups triggered.

  • Backed up Successfully: The number of workloads for which the last backup was successful.

  • Backup Failed: The number of workloads for which the last backup failed.

  • Never Backup Up: The number of workloads that were never backed up.

  • Backed up with Error: The number of workloads for which the last backup was completed with errors.

Backup Status Details

  • Backup Status: The pie chart depicts the backup statuses of the users for the selected profile - backed up successfully, backup failed, never backed up, and backed up with an error. Hovering on the individual legends of the graph displays the count of backups based on their status.

  • Backup Activity Daily Trend: Daily trend of the users' backups for the selected filter.

Backup Activity Details

  • User Name: The name of the user.

  • User Email ID: The email address of the user.

  • Profile: The profile assigned to the user.

  • Workload: The name of the M365 apps, such as OneDrive or Exchange Online.

  • App Status: The status of the app that is enabled or disabled.

  • Start Time: The date and time on which the backup started.

  • End Time: The date and time on which the backup was completed.

  • Items Backed Up: The number of files and folders backed up.

  • Items Missed: The number of files and folders that were not backed up.

  • Total backup Data (MB): The size of the data in MB that were backed up.

  • Last backup Data (MB): The size of the most recent backup.

  • Last Backup Status: The status of the backup operation.


๐Ÿ“ Note

  • The displayed status is of the last ended backup (successful or failed).

    • If the backup completes successfully without any error, the status is displayed as Backed Up successfully.

    • If the backup fails, the status is displayed as Backup Failed.

    • If a backup was never performed, the status is displayed as Never Backed Up.

  • Backup Status is only updated when another backup (successful or failed) ends.

  • inSync does not update the Backup Status in case a backup is interrupted due to network failure when aborted by a user due to device shutdown or restart during an ongoing backup.


  • Status Details: Displays the error code, if any, such as EAUTH.
