Issue / Problem Description
A customer needed to export a large volume of their backed-up Microsoft 365 data, including both user-specific data (Exchange Online, OneDrive) and organisation-wide data (SharePoint).
Resolution / Workaround
Druva SaaS Apps offer several options for bulk data export from Microsoft 365:
A. User-Based Data (Exchange Online, OneDrive, Gmail, Gdrive):
Use the eDiscovery Download Client to export user data. Download data using eDiscovery Download Client
Following article will provide the structure for downloaded data - Structure of data downloaded with eDiscovery Download Client and .csv file properties
For larger file sets, you can use the internet download manager to have less instances of file corruption during the download process.
Refer to the official documentation for details on the downloaded data structure and CSV file properties.
B. Organisation-Based Data (SharePoint):
SharePoint data can be downloaded directly from the admin console. Keep in mind this is a browser-based, single-thread operation.
You can use the Bulk Export Utility to download SharePoint data in Bulk. https://help.druva.com/en/articles/9234712-configure-bulk-export-setting
Alternatively, you can perform a restore to a test site for SharePoint or a test mailbox for Public Folders.
C. Professional Services Option:
For large-scale or complex exports, professional services can provide a fully managed solution. Contact your account representative to request a cost estimate and timeline.
D. General Guidance:
