Revoke Druva Microsoft 365 App Access

Revoke Druva Microsoft 365 App Access

Problem Description

Administrators may need to revoke access for a Druva Microsoft 365 application that was previously configured in the Druva Cloud Admin Console. This could be required when the app is no longer in use, needs to be replaced, or for security and compliance purposes.

Cause

  • The application is no longer required for backup or restore operations.

  • The app was incorrectly configured and needs to be removed before reconfiguration.

  • Security policies mandate revoking unused or unauthorized app access.

Prerequisite

  • At least two Druva Microsoft 365 apps must be configured in the environment. Druva does not allow revoking access if only one app is configured, as at least one app is required for backup and restore operations.

Resolution

Follow the steps below to revoke Druva Microsoft 365 app access:

Step 1: Navigate to Microsoft 365 Configuration

  • Log in to the Druva Cloud Admin Console.

  • From the Global Navigation Panel on the left, click Microsoft 365.

Step 2: Access Manage Apps

  • On the Microsoft 365 Overview page, go to the top-right corner of the screen.

  • Click Manage Apps to view the list of available Druva Microsoft 365 applications.

Step 3: Revoke App Access

  • Locate the app you want to remove access for.

  • Click on the ellipsis icon (three dots) next to the app name.

  • Select Revoke access from the dropdown menu.

Step 4: Confirm Revocation

  • A confirmation popup will appear.

  • Click on the Revoke access button to confirm.

  • The app access will be revoked successfully.

Verification

  • Return to the Microsoft 365 Overview page.

  • Under App Configuration, verify that the revoked app no longer appears in the list of configured applications.

Note: Revoking app access will prevent Druva from performing any backup or restore operations associated with that app. Ensure that this action aligns with your organization’s data protection strategy.
