Known Issue

Issue

Description

INS-202881

Some large Google Slides or PowerPoint (.PPTX) files stored in Google Drive may fail to download during backup due to a known limitation in Google's infrastructure, causing them to be skipped during Druva's backup process.

Google recommends splitting these large files (>400 MB) into smaller parts or converting them to PDF or another suitable format as a workaround.

INS-182239

When a single event is deleted from a recurring series in Google Calendar and an in-place restore is performed for the entire series, the deleted event is not recreated.

INS-182780

Birthday and Task calendars from Google Workspace are not backed up.

Fixed Issue

Issue

Description

REAL-51341

We have fixed the issue of Sensitive Data Violation emails being sent to all the users, including those who had no violations. Hence, as part of the fix, the Sensitive Data Violation email will now be sent to only non-compliant users with more than or equal to one violation.

For more information, see How to restore Google Workspace data?

Data Governance

Enhancement

New filter type added to API for Legal Hold Policy

When using the List Legal Hold Policies v4 API, you can now also search for a Legal Hold policy by specifying the legalHoldTypeIds filter. For more information, see Legal Hold APIs v4.

Enhanced Whitelist capability: Regular Expression support

The Whitelist feature now supports Regular Expression (regex) in addition to the standard Keyword type.

This enhancement allows administrators to create more flexible and accurate whitelisting rules, reducing false positives.

Now, when adding keywords to your Whitelist, you can choose between the existing Keyword type and the new Regular Expression type.

For more information, see Adding Keywords to Whitelist.

Enhanced Data Security: User-Level Download Controls

User-level downloads for SaaS applications in the User Portal can now be globally restricted. This feature covers all formats, including Archive and MDS. When enabled, the download option will be disabled for users, thereby enhancing data security and ensuring compliance.

📝Note:

This feature requires both Endpoints license and either Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace license. Customers with only an Endpoint license cannot access this functionality. For more information, see Download data using the inSync Web.

Feature

Enterprise Key Management for Google Workspace

With Enterprise Key Management, you can use keys generated from your AWS Key Management Service (KMS) account to encrypt and decrypt the data backed up by Druva inSync. This new feature adds an extra layer of encryption beyond Druva's default backup encryption, giving you more control over your data security.

Key benefits:

  • Use your AWS KMS-generated keys to protect Druva inSync backups

  • You have ownership of the encryption and decryption key, enabling your full control to revoke it anytime.

  • Druva will not store the key and the key will be requested when needed.

Customer action required

Enterprise Key Management is available on request. To enable this feature for your account, contact Support.
