Overview
Download helps you to gain access to files in case of accidental deletion, or when you want to access a particular file from a device not owned by you. When you download a file, the file is saved with its original name and extension.
On the Windows and Linux laptops, the folder is saved as <inSyncRestoreData_name>.zip.
On Mac laptops, the folder is saved as <inSyncRestoreData_name>.tar or <inSyncRestoreData_name>.tar.gz.
π Note
βQuarantined snapshot data is not visible ininSync Web. For more information, contact your administrator.
For download, you can use Search to easily find particular files and then download the selected files. Following is the file naming convention of any file that you download from the search results:
SearchResults-<Date stamp>, <Time stamp>.<file extension of the compressed file format>
β Important
If your administrator has configured the 'Recoverable Items' folder for backup, you can restore deleted emails, contacts, and calendar items. This enables you to download or restore data caused by accidental or malicious deletion. The 'Recoverable Items' folder is listed just as any other folder backed up by inSync in the Restore window.
π Note
βOn Windows OS, if the compressed zip file size is too large, you may experience an error unzipping the file using Windows Explorer. In such scenarios, you may choose another utility to unzip such large data sets.
