New Feature

View Hybrid Workloads Jobs in your preferred timezone

Now you can view the Start Time and End Time for Hybrid Workloads Jobs in your preferred time zone. This enhancement provides greater flexibility and customization for managing job schedules.


❗ Important

  • Timezone field is currently available only for Hybrid Workloads Jobs.

  • By default, the timezone is set to Managed Services Center timezone (Timezone selected while creating your account by Druva Support).

  • To change the default timezone of your Managed Services Center, raise a case with Druva Support.

New Feature

Create API Credentials for your Customers using API

This new feature eliminates the need to generate and manage separate API credentials for each customer. Instead, MSP administrators can now leverage a single set of API credentials generated from the Managed Services Center (MSC) to seamlessly access customer APIs. For more information, see, how to create an access token for customers using MSP Admin API credentials.

Support for Microsoft Groups Data Protection

With this enhancement, MSPs can now offer Microsoft Groups data protection to their customers.

How does this new feature benefit you:

  • Recover Groups data and avoid any business disruptions caused due to data loss in case of accidental deletion or ransomware attack.

  • Auto-configuration and retention settings that help in reduced time and efforts to protect Groups data.

  • One-time configuration to secure, manage, track, monitor, and get notified of compliance risks of Groups data in your organization.

New Feature

Introducing Data Protection for Azure virtual machines

MSPs can now protect virtual machines deployed in Azure Cloud for their customers. The data protection solution leverages Druva's air-gapped backup and restoration solution for end-to-end protection of Azure VMs over Druva cloud. You can now experience seamless and secure onboarding of Azure subscriptions to Druva. The offering provides an agentless, cloud-native SaaS solution that ensures simple, secure, and air-gapped backups for Azure VMs and reduces storage costs significantly. Druva protects Azure VM data from ransomware by creating an encrypted backup copy of your data in Druva's Cloud, that is inaccessible to attackers.

Enhanced APIs for Comprehensive Tenant Reporting
With newer versions of reporting APIs, MSPs can access detailed tenant consumption and quota reports. These APIs offer insights into service usage and product consumption, facilitating better billing decisions and customer account management. The following APIs are now available:

  • Itemized Tenant Consumption Report V 2.0

  • Itemized Tenant Quota Report V 2.0

Enhancement

Limit over license expiry of evaluation tenants
With the newly granted authority for administrators to delete suspended tenant, the extension of evaluation licenses has been restricted to certain limit.

  • Admin can Delete Suspended Tenant:MSP administrators now have the authority to delete any suspended tenant without marking the tenant as active first.

  • Limit over Evaluation Tenant Duration:Now you can extend the default evaluation period by an additional maximum of 30 days allowing for a total evaluation period of up to 60 days from the tenant creation date.

  • Every 24 hours License Expiry Checks:Expired licenses get checked and flagged as suspended within every 24 hours, providing administrators with necessary insights for prompt action.

Action required:

  • Review evaluation license expiration dates and extend the license expiry dates to avoid service interruptions.

  • If the evaluation license is already expired, convert the product license to a commercial license after activating the product.

Comprehensive reports to understand product usage and consumption

With the newer version of more detailed tenant consumption reports and tenant quota reports, MSPs can get a more comprehensive view of unit and service usage consumption details. In addition, You can monitor product consumption and usage of the subscribed Druva services and add-ons to gain actionable insights, make better billing-related decisions, and manage customer accounts.

Also, simplify customer tracking with new columns for Customer Global ID and Tenant ID. Below are the two new versions of the reports available:

Enhancement

Migrate customers with Security add-ons enabled to MSC for centralized management


❗ Important

Only MSC-supported products and features should be present in the tenant being migrated.


You can now migrate your externally managed customers, with Security add-ons enabled for the products, as discrete tenants to the Managed Services Center (MSC). After the migration, you can use the MSC to manage all customers centrally and track the usage of quota and consumption units.

You can conduct the migration process through the new MSC Migration console, and you will receive email notifications at each stage with any necessary actions to take.

Customer Action Required: Contact your account representative to plan and initiate the migration of your customers.

Enhancement

Simplify customer migration to MSC with a new migration workflow
With this enhancement, the migration of discrete tenants into MSC will become even easier for Managed Service Providers (MSP) and DCP Administrators. This new migration workflow reduces the number of steps required to complete the migration process. Additionally, MSP Admins can now track the current migration status directly, eliminating the need to wait for confirmation from Druva. Enhance Data Resiliency with New Security Add-Ons

Now, MSPs can provide Cyber Resiliency offerings to their customers to protect their data from modern-day cyber attacks, including recovery from Ransomware attacks. In the Managed Services Center, MSPs can configure security add-ons from the customer page and offer multi-layer security to their customers. Cyber Resiliency consists of the following offerings -

►Security Posture and Observability (SP&O)

Enhance your customer’s security posture by gaining visibility and insights into your data and backup environment. Take action and resolve issues efficiently from a unified console. Below are some of the key benefits and uses:

Use the Security Command Center to assess the security posture of your customer’s backup environment and address potential risks.

Proactively detect anomalies in backup data using entropy-based machine learning powered by global telemetry within an hour of backing up your customer data.

Understand customer’s data access risks and events by monitoring who has access to your backup data (users, admins, APIs) and their activities. Additionally, monitor the locations from which the data is being accessed.

Safeguard backup data from accidental and malicious deletions.Roll back deleted entities within a configurable rollback window.

Monitor risks to data protection jobs and prevent data loss caused by disconnected agents or proxies from the Druva cloud.

Accelerated Ransomware Recovery (ARR)


Ensure the safety of your customer’s backups with a zero-trust architecture, immutable backups, and comprehensive security and observability across users, data, and activity.

Gain visibility into unusual activity and choose the best snapshot for recovery with flexible recovery options.

Perform malware and IOC scanning to identify infected files before recovery, ensuring clean data restoration.

Leverage API-based integrations for an orchestrated response using security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) systems.

Automate recovery with curated snapshots that compile the most recent clean versions of files into a single snapshot.

Enhancement

Enhanced SaaS Apps and Endpoints alerts

With the improved alert experience, MSP Administrators will receive alerts only if they specifically subscribe to them. This improvement applies to all new administrators and SaaS Apps and Endpoints tenants.

Note:Existing Administrators will continue to receive alerts for existing tenants unless they modify their alert subscriptions by accessing the tenant settings.

New Feature

Streamline your sign-in process with SSO

Druva has introduced Single Sign-on (SSO) capability for accessing Managed Services Center. With SSO, administrators can access the Managed Services Center seamlessly without needing a separate login, providing better security and an enhanced customer experience.

You can integrate SSO for Managed Services Center with leading Identity Providers (IdPs) such as Azure AD and Okta to set up SSO.
Druva supports all IdPs which support SAML 2.0 and has certified the following IdPs -

  • Azure

  • Okta

To start configuring SSO, Sign in to Managed Services Center > Settings > Access Settings > Single Sign-on. For more information, see Set up Single Sign-on with Managed Services Center.

MSP-6045

When editing a tenant on the customer page in the Managed Services Center, MSPs cannot remove the storage quota allocated to the tenant or set the quota value to zero.

Workaround:Provide a quota value greater than zero.

MSP-6073

The Customer list on the Microsoft 365 jobs page in Managed services Center is experiencing loading issues when the number of customers exceeds a certain threshold.

New Feature

The following new features are now available:

Google Workspace data protection

Expanding the footprint in SaaS Apps data protection, in addition to Microsoft 365, MSPs can now offer their customers Google Workspace data protection.

Google Workspace natively provides some backup capabilities but lacks comprehensive coverage putting business-critical data at risk for loss, corruption, and ransomware.

Druva provides a comprehensive and scalable solution that customers can utilize to fill critical data protection and recovery gaps. Additionally, you can use Sensitive Data Governance & Compliance along with the Legal Hold capabilities that allow administrators to identify compliance breaches related to end-user data in their organization.


❗ Important

Customer Action Required:MSPs who want to provide Google Workspace data protection service to their customers must contact their account representative.

Managed Service Providers (MSPs) can add Google Workspace to a customer account through the Managed Services Center (MSC) service plan page. For more information, see How to create a new service plan.

Enhanced Compliance Reporting for Google Workspace

Several reports, including Compliance, Global Usage, Tenant Consumption, and Tenant Quota, are now available for Google Workspace.

You can also opt to receive compliance alerts for Google Workspace over email. For more information, see Reporting and Consumption.

Enhanced APIs to support Google Workspace

With the addition of Google Workspace data protection, we have also enhanced the following APIs to support automation and get information about Google Workspace data under protection.

  • Customer management APIs

  • Reporting APIs

Restriction on using public email domains during MSP Admin creation

To avoid security breaches, we have restricted the following public email domains while creating MSP Administrators:

  • @gmail

  • @hotmail

  • @rediff

  • @yahoo

Customer Action required:Use corporate emails only to create MSP admins.
