Overview
As an Cloud administrator, you can download the Public folder backed up data using the inSync Management Console.
You can download the entire Public folder as zipped folder in a <inSync-Publicfoldername>.zip format. inSync also allows you to do selective downloads for specific data (Emails & Posts, Calendars, Contacts, Journals, and Notes) along with their metadata attributes.
Download Emails and Posts
Sign in to Druva Cloud Platform Console and navigate to Microsoft365 >Public folder.
A page that lists all the discovered Public folder appears.Click the Public folder name to download email and posts. Click Download.
Use the snapshot selector to select the snapshot from which you want to download the data. By default, the latest snapshot will be selected.
Select the entire emails and posts folder or a specific email and post for download.
Click Download. The data is downloaded in a <inSync-Publicfoldername>.zip format. Within the <inSync-Publicfoldername>.zip, the following files are created based on the selection for download.

Download Journals
Sign in to Druva Cloud Platform Console and navigate to Microsoft365 >Public folder.
A page that lists all the discovered Public folder appears.Click the Public folder name to download email and posts. Click Download.
Use the snapshot selector to select the snapshot from which you want to download the data. By default, the latest snapshot will be selected.
Select the entire journal folder or a specific journal for download.
Click Download. The data is downloaded in a <inSync-Publicfoldername>.zip format. Within the <inSync-Publicfoldername>.zip, the following files are created based on the selection for download.

Download Notes

A page that lists all the discovered Public folder appears.Click the Public folder name to download notes. Click Download.
Use the snapshot selector to select the snapshot from which you want to download the data. By default, the latest snapshot will be selected.
Select the entire notes folder or a specific note for download.
Click Download. The data is downloaded in a <inSync-Publicfoldername>.zip format. Within the <inSync-Publicfoldername>.zip, the following files are created based on the selection for download.

Download Calendars

Use the snapshot selector to select the snapshot from which you want to download the data. By default, the latest snapshot will be selected.
Select the entire calendar folder or a specific calendar event for download.
Click Download. The data is downloaded in a <inSync-Publicfoldername>.zip format. Within the <inSync-Publicfoldername>.zip, the following files are created based on the selection for download.

Download Contacts

Use the snapshot selector to select the snapshot from which you want to download the data. By default, the latest snapshot will be selected.
Select the entire contacts folder or a specific contact for download.
Click Download. The data is downloaded in a <inSync-Publicfoldername>.zip format. Within the <inSync-Publicfoldername>.zip, the following files are created based on the selection for download.

Things to consider for Public folders downloaded data
The .ics files more than 10 MB size can be opened only from the Outlook client.
The inline images in the body are displayed as an attachment.
Currently, you can download only profile picture attachment within contacts.
Journal, Posts, and Notes are exported as .eml files and are imported as emails.
Due to Microsoft Public folders API behavior, a delay of 10 minutes is observed in the user action and the actual API updates provided for backup. For example, if you rename a Public folder and initiate a backup immediately, the new name is not reflected in the latest snapshot. However, if you initiate backup for a renamed Public folder after 10 minutes of rename action, the snapshot shows the new name.
