Enhancement
Provided more granular control to MSPs over Long-Term Retention
Previously, Long-Term Retention (LTR ) was automatically enabled for all Hybrid Workloads customers in Enterprise and Elite editions. To give MSPs' more granular control over LTR feature access, we've introduced an option within MSC to enable the LTR. This enhancement empowers MSP Admins to determine which customers can leverage LTR storage capabilities, enabling more accurate revenue forecasting and planning.
Key Benefits
Granular Control: MSP Admins now have the flexibility to enable LTR for customers with Hybrid Workloads.
Accurate Forecasting: Enhanced control over LTR usage allows for more precise revenue projections.
Note:
Once enabled, LTR can only be disabled by contacting Druva Support.
All existing Hybrid Workloads Enterprise and Elite customers have LTR enabled by default. To disable it, MSP Admins should contact Druva Support.
To learn more about enabling LTR, see Enable Long Term Retention (LTR) in Managed Services Center.

Deprecation
Deprecated three reports and their corresponding APIs
We have deprecated three reports and APIs in favor of more powerful reporting. Our previous reports, while valuable in their time, have become redundant and lack the detailed information needed for comprehensive usage analysis. To address this, we've developed improved versions of these reports with richer details, providing a more comprehensive view of your tenant's usage.
Listed below are the deprecated reports with their corresponding APIs
Report Name | API Endpoint |
Tenant Consumption Report | msp/v2/reports/consumption msp/v2/reports/consumption/summary |
Tenant Quota Consumption Report | msp/v2/reports/quota msp/v2/reports/quota/summary |
Backupset Report | msp/v2/reports/backupsets |
Thereby, subscribe to the new reports and upgrade your automation or monitoring tool with new APIs in the place of deprecated ones. The new reports and their respective APIs are:
New Reports | API Endpoints |
Tenant Consumption Report Version 2.0
Tenant Quota Consumption Report Version 2.0
Backup Activity Report |
Key benefits:
More Detailed Insights: Gain a comprehensive understanding of your tenant's usage patterns.
Actionable Data: Make informed billing decisions based on actual Druva service and add-on consumption.
Improved Efficiency: Access all backup job details in one centralized location with the Hybrid Workloads report.
Fixed Issue
Issue | Description |
MSP-10286 | We have fixed the issue where the Sandbox customers received renewal alerts when the MSP administrator extended the license expiry date beyond the allowed three years. |
August 22, 2024
Enhancement
Reduce complexity with unified license renewal alerts
To streamline communication and reduce confusion, we have consolidated all license renewal alerts into a single and unified notification. Previously, you had to subscribe to multiple alert types to get license renewal alerts for Evaluation and Commercial tenants. Now, you can subscribe to a comprehensive and unified alert covering the license renewal of Evaluation, Sandbox, and Commercial tenants.
What's Changing:
The old alert types (POC License - Renewed, Commercial License - Renewed) have been consolidated into a single, new alert: License Renewed.
MSPs who are already subscribed to the POC and Commercial License - Renewed alerts can not receive the alert notifications.
The old alerts will be deprecated in the coming days.
Key Benefits:
Simplified Communication: A single alert streamlines the notification process, making it easier to stay informed.
Improved Clarity: By combining alerts, we've eliminated potential confusion arising from multiple notifications under different headings.
Enhanced Efficiency: This change reduces the administrative burden on MSPs.
Unified Alert for All Customers: You can now subscribe to a single unified alert covering the license renewal of Evaluation, Sandbox, and Commercial tenants.
Customer Actions required:
Subscribe to the new consolidated license renewal alert to receive the alert notifications.

Enhancement
Simplified details in the Customer Level Events API
We've simplified the details field in the API response of Customer Level Events API to provide a more developer-friendly experience. Previously, the details field was returned as a stringified JSON object, requiring consumers to parse it manually. With this update, the details field is now directly returned as a valid JSON object.
Key Changes:
New Endpoint:
https://apis.druva.com/msp/v3/customers/{customerID}/events
Old Endpoint:
https://apis.druva.com/msp/v2/customers/{customerID}/events
Benefits:
Reduced processing time: Consumers no longer need to perform unnecessary stringification and parsing operations.
Improved efficiency: Simplifies API integration and reduces potential error points.
Action required: Existing consumers of the Customer Level Events API should start using the new API endpoint to accommodate the new changes.

New Feature
Streamlined Monitoring and Alerting for MSPs with Event-Driven APIs
Traditionally, monitoring required continuous checks on systems to detect changes. This can be inefficient and lead to information overload. Event-driven monitoring works differently. You can now leverage MSP event APIs to get the details about MSP alerts, audit trails, subscription history, and login activities. You can integrate the responses from these event APIs with your favorite monitoring tools. This unlocks a world of possibilities for customized dashboards, alerts, and even ticket generation.
Key benefits:
Reduced Noise, Increased Focus: Focus on what matters! Receive alerts only when events occur, eliminating unnecessary notifications and streamlining your workflow.
Customizable Monitoring: Tailor your monitoring experience to your specific needs. Leverage third-party tools to create custom dashboards, alerts, and even automate ticket generation for faster issue resolution.
Improved Manageability: Gain a comprehensive view of your entire infrastructure, allowing for proactive problem identification and improved overall manageability.
For more information about events APIs, see MSP-level event APIs.

New Feature
Consolidated M365 & Google Workspace Reports Now on MSC
Simplify tenant management with M365 and Google Workspace reports, now available in the Managed Services Center (MSC). MSPs can access reports directly within MSC, streamlining operational efficiency. Before the introduction of this feature, MSPs needed to access individual tenant consoles whenever they wanted to view reports. This process was time-consuming and inefficient.
This eliminates the traditional workflow of accessing reports through individual tenant consoles, saving MSPs valuable time and effort.
The availability of these reports in the MSC eliminates the need to visit individual tenant consoles, allowing you to:
Boost Efficiency: Effortlessly access consolidated reports, saving you valuable time.
Reduce Costs: Access all your customers’ reports from a single platform, eliminating the need to switch between individual tenant consoles. This capability translates to increased productivity and potentially higher margins for your business.
Enhanced Visibility: Gain a holistic view of product usage across your customer base, allowing for better-informed decisions.
See the reporting documentation for details on using Consolidated M365 and Google Workspace reports within MSC.

New APIs for reporting automation and integration
MSP Admins can now leverage new APIs to automatically generate reports for Endpoints, Hybrid Workloads, and Cyber Resilience. This eliminates manual report creation, saving you valuable time.
These APIs utilize a single set of MSC credentials, eliminating the need to manage separate credentials for each customer.
The enhanced API response includes customer name, account name, and customer ID, simplifying data integration with your existing tools and removing the need to maintain a separate customer list.
For more information about report APIs, see

New Feature
Customer-level Event API Access for MSPs
MSPs can now leverage Event APIs to call customer-specific events.
Events API capability helps administrators to:
Get the job events in a single API call
Monitor job failures and take corrective actions
Integrate the exported events with the third-party SIEM tool
Events APIs are designed in such a way that -
MSPs can use a single set of API credentials generated from the MSC eliminating the need to manage separate credentials for each customer.
Events API response is enhanced to include the customer name and customer ID as a unique identifier for each row. This simplifies data consumption within your integration tools, removing the need to maintain a separate list of customer names.
Important: Events API is currently available for VMware - Hybrid Workloads.
For more information, see Event APIs for MSPs.
