Problem description
There could be instances when the user attempts to launch the inSync Client but the inSync Client does not launch on the user device or launches with errors. This article provides instructions to troubleshoot such scenarios.
Resolution
Scenario 1
inSync Client GUI does not launch after double-clicking the inSync
icon
To troubleshoot this scenario, you need to ensure that you are logged in to your device and the device and system have the necessary permissions to access the required locations.
The system and the logged-in user must have read and write permissions for the following locations:
1. C:\ProgramData\Druva
2. C:\Program Files (x86)\Druva
3. %temp%
Upon successfully providing the necessary permissions, the logged-in user should be able to launch the inSync Client by double-clicking the inSync icon
on the device's desktop.
Scenario 2
inSync Client displays the following error message when the user attempts to launch the inSync client.
To resolve this error, do the steps provided in Error: Cannot write to log file - Access Denied article.
Scenario 3
inSync Client displays the following error message when the user attempts to launch the inSync client.
To resolve this error, do the steps provided in Error: Could not connect to inSync Service
