Know your Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat Dashboard

The Copilot Chat dashboard lists all users with Copilot Chat backup enabled and provides details about their backup activity. This article explains each field and the available user actions.

Copilot Chat appears as a tab under Microsoft 365 > Copilot Chat on the M365 Overview page. It is a user-level workload under M365 User Apps.

Copilot Chat Overview Page

The Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat Overview page provides a summary of your Copilot Chat backup environment along with a detailed listing of protected users.

The Summary section displays:

  • Total number of Copilot Chat users configured for backup

  • Total backup data size across all protected users

  • Total number of Copilot Chat messages backed up

Dashboard Fields

The table below defines each field displayed on the Copilot Chats dashboard.

Field

Description

Name

Displays the user’s name.

Last Completed Backup

Shows the date and time when the user’s Copilot Chat data was last backed up successfully.
Sorting: Click the column header to sort by backup time.

Backup Data

Total amount of data backed up for the user’s Copilot Chats. Sorting: Click the column header to sort by data size.

App Status

Indicates whether backup is currently enabled or disabled for the user. Filtering and Sorting available.

Last Backup Status

Shows the user’s most recent backup result (for example: Backed Up Successfully, Failed).

Action: Click the backup status to view detailed information. Sorting: Click the column header to sort alphabetically.

Status Details

Displays the error message explaining the cause of a backup failure, including error codes where applicable.

Action: Click the error message to view detailed information.

Filters for Copilot Chat

Filters allow you to narrow the displayed user list based on backup outcomes and app status.

Backup completed but encountered errors.

Backup Failed

Backup attempt was unsuccessful.

Backup has never been initiated.

Last Backup Status

Backup Throttled

Backup has throttled.

App Status

Enabled

Backup is currently enabled for the user.

App Status

Disabled

Backup is currently disabled for the user.

User Actions

Select one or more users by clicking the checkbox next to User Name. Then choose an action from the toolbar.

Action

Description

Backup Now

Starts an on-demand backup of the selected user’s Copilot Chats.

Restore Data

Restores backed-up Copilot Chat data for the selected user.

Enable

Enables Copilot Chat backup for the selected user.

Disable

Disables Copilot Chat backup for the selected user.

Delete

Removes the user’s Copilot Chat account from Druva Cloud Platform.


❗IMPORTANT: Deleted accounts cannot have their previously backed-up data restored.


User Details Page

When you click a user name, the User Details page displays a Copilot Chats card in Data Sources alongside other Microsoft 365 workloads (for example, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and Teams Chat, if applicable). The card shows:

  • License Status

  • Protection activation date and time

  • Last Completed Backup

  • Last Backup Status

  • Total Backed Up Data

Snapshots

A snapshot is a stored backup instance created at a specific point in time.

Viewing Snapshots

  1. Click the User Name on the dashboard.

  2. Open the Backups tab.

  3. Select Copilot Chats from the Datasource drop-down list.

  4. Review the list of generated snapshots.

Field

Description

Snapshot

Timestamp indicating when the snapshot was generated.

Size

Total size of the snapshot.

#Messages Backed Up

Number of Copilot Chats included in the snapshot.
