The Teams Chat dashboard lists all discovered users and provides details about their backup activity. This article explains each field and the available user actions.
Dashboard Fields
The table below defines each field displayed on the Teams Chat dashboard
Fiel | Description |
Search User | Searches for a user by name. |
Name | Displays the user’s name. |
Last Completed Backup | Shows the date and time when the user’s Teams Chat data was last backed up.
Sorting: Click the column header to sort by backup time. |
Backup Data | Total amount of data backed up for the user’s Teams Chat account.
Sorting: Click the column header to sort by data size. |
Backup Enabled | Indicates whether backup is currently enabled or disabled for the user. |
Last Backup Status | Shows the user’s most recent backup result (for example: Backed Up Successfully, failed).
Action: Click the backup status to view detailed information. Sorting: Click the column header to sort alphabetically. |
Status Details | Displays the error message explaining the cause of a backup failure.
Action: Click the error message to view detailed information. Sorting: Column sorting uses internal error-order logic (not alphabetical).
📝NOTE: For any configuration-related failures (such as an incorrect private key or missing permissions), Microsoft returns a generic “Authentication Failed” error. Due to security reasons, the API does not provide detailed information about the exact cause. |
Filters for Teams Chat
Filters allow you to narrow the displayed user list based on backup outcomes and app status.
Filter Category | Option | Meaning |
Last Backup Status | Backed Up Successfully | Backup completed without errors. |
Last Backup Status | Backed Up With Errors | Backup completed but encountered few errors. |
Last Backup Status | Backup Failed | Backup attempt was unsuccessful. |
Last Backup Status | Never Backed Up | Backup has never been initiated. |
Last Backup Status | Backup Throttled | Backup was throttled due to API rate limits. |
App Status | Enabled | Backup is currently enabled for the user. |
App Status | Disabled | Backup is currently disabled for the user. |
User Actions
Select one or more users by clicking the checkbox next to User Name. Then choose an action from the toolbar.
Action | Description |
Backup Now | Starts an on-demand backup of the selected user’s Teams Chat account. |
Restore Data | Restores backed-up data for the selected user. |
Enable | Enables Teams Chat backup for the selected user. |
Disable | Disables Teams Chat backup for the selected user. |
Delete | Removes the user’s Teams Chat account from Druva Cloud Platform.
❗IMPORTANT: Deleted accounts cannot have their previously backed-up data restored. |
Snapshots
A snapshot is a stored backup instance created at a specific point in time.
Viewing Snapshots
Click the User Name on the dashboard.
Open the Backup tab.
Review the list of generated snapshots.
Field | Description |
Snapshot | Timestamp indicating when the snapshot was generated. |
Size | Total size of the snapshot. |
#Messages Backed Up | Number of messages included in the snapshot. |
