Overview
The Inactive Administrator Policy helps protect your Druva Cloud environment by ensuring only active administrators can access the Druva environment. This feature allows Druva Cloud Administrators to define a specific period of inactivity for administrator accounts. If an administrator remains inactive for longer than the specified duration, their account is automatically disabled. This helps effectively manage the lifecycle of administrator accounts and minimize exposure to potential attacks.
❗ Important
The Inactive Administrator Policy does not apply to MSP administrators, or the administrators managed through Active Directory.
Before you begin
Only a Druva Cloud Administrator can configure the inactivity setting.
The default inactivity period is 180 days. The inactivity period can be set to any duration between 15 and 180 days.
Configure Inactive Administrator Policy
To configure the inactive administrator policy, perform the following steps:
Log on to Druva Cloud Platform Console.
Go to Global Navigation Panel > Druva Cloud Settings > Access Settings. The Access Settings window appears.
In the Inactive Administrator Configuration section, click Edit. The Edit Inactive Administrator Policy Settings window appears.
Select the number of days from the drop-down menu.
📝 NoteThe default inactivity period is 180 days. The inactivity period can be set to any duration between 15 and 180 days.
Click Save.
Email notifications for administrators
See the following table for the email notifications that are sent to the Cloud Administrators and inactive administrators:

Administrator State Disabled | Administrator account marked disabled | Druva sends email notifications when the administrator account is marked as disabled from active after the specified duration in the Inactive Administrator Policy. |
Administrator account will be disabled | 7 days prior to disabling administrator account | Druva starts sending email notifications 7 days before disabling the administrator account. |
