Know your SharePoint dashboard

This article explains SharePoint tabs and subtabs, along with the tasks that can be performed in each section.

The SharePoint dashboard provides detailed visibility into all your SharePoint sites discovered within the inSync Management Console. This article explains how to navigate and perform key actions using the SharePoint dashboard.

Access the SharePoint Dashboard

To access the SharePoint dashboard:

  1. Sign in to your inSync Management Console.

  2. Navigate to Microsoft 365 > SharePoint.

The dashboard is divided into two primary tabs:

All Sites

The All Sites tab displays all SharePoint site discovered, along with the following details:

  • Site Title

  • Site URL

  • Site Type (Microsoft Teams Site, Microsoft 365 Group Site, MS Teams Private Channel Site, Other Site)

  • Configuration Status

Actions You Can Perform on All Sites Tab:

Configured sites

The Configured Sites tab lists sites already configured for backup, displaying:

  • Site Title

  • Site Type

  • Last Completed Backup

  • Backup Data (in MB)

  • Backup Enabled/Disabled

  • Last Backup Status (Completed Successfully, Failed, Completed with Errors, Never Backed Up)

  • Error details (if any)

  • Configuration (backup profile; hover to view mode of configuration—auto or manual, auto configuration rule, and backup profile)

Actions You Can Perform on Configured Sites Tab:

Site Details Dashboard

Selecting a site on Configured Site tab the Site displays details dashboard, which contains three tabs:

Summary

Provides an overview of backup details for the selected site, including:

Field

Description

Site Details

Displays the title, type, Backup status, storage region, added date, and URL.

Backup Summary

Displays the last completed backup status, backup data, and total backup size.

Storage consumption

Shows backup storage consumption over the last 90 days. Hover on the chart for daily details.

Backup Settings

Displays configuration mode—auto or manual, Auto configuration rule name and backup profile.

Actions You Can Perform on Summary Tab:

  • Backup Now – Manually backup the selected site.

  • Restore Data – Restore data for the selected site.

  • Reconfigure – Modify backup profile settings.

  • Disable Backup – Pause backups and change to manual configuration mode.

  • Delete – Remove the selected site.

Backups

Displays snapshots captured for the selected site, including:

  • Summary – Displays the total snapshot count along with timestamps for the latest and oldest recovery points.

  • Snapshot – Provides a list view of all available snapshots.

Actions You Can Perform on Backups Tab:

Activity Stream

Tracks current and historical backup and restore activities:

  • Backup Activities: Logs of backups from the last 30 days. Older logs are auto-deleted.

  • Download and Restore Activities: Complete log history.

Actions You Can Perform on Activity Stream Tab:

  • Download logs for backup and restore activities for the selected SharePoint site.

  • Filter logs by Activity type, Time, and Status.
