This topic explains the Google Workspace dashboard in detail and the actions you can perform on it.
Access Path
To access the Google Workspace dashboard, sign in to inSync Management Console and navigate to Google Workspace.
Gmail and Google Drive
Field description
The following table lists the fields under the Gmail and Google Drive tabs.
Field | Description |
Search User | Search for a user. |
User Name | The name of the user. |
Last Completed Backup | The date and time when data was last backed up from the SaaS app. To view the status details, click on the status.

Backup Data | The amount of data that inSync has backed up for that SaaS App account.

App Status | The status of the SaaS app account.
The following symbols are displayed adjacent to the status of the device, based on their configuration:
The device is on Legal Hold. For more information, see About legal hold.
Persona backup is configured for the device.

Last Backup Status | Backup status of the SaaS app.

Status Details | Displays the error message indicating the reason for user data backup failure. Click the error message for more details. For more information, see SaaS Apps Apps Error Messages.

Filters for Gmail and Google Drive
Click on the to filter the user accounts as per the Last Backup Status and App Status.
The following table displays the available filter options as per the Last Backup Status and App Status.

Actions
Select the desired user to perform the actions as described in the below table.
Action | Description |
Backup Now | Click Backup Now to start on-demand back up of the Cloud App account for the selected user. |
Enable | Click Enable to enable the backup of the Cloud App account for the selected user. |
Disable | Click Disable to disable the backup of the Cloud App account for the selected user. |
Delete | Click Delete to remove the Cloud App user account from inSync.
❗Important
The backed up data cannot be restored if the Cloud App user account is deleted. |
Shared Drives
Field description
The following table lists the fields under the Shared Drives.
Field | Description |
Showing <Number> of Shared Drives | The total count of all the discovered Shared Drives. |
Name | The name of the Shared Drives. |
Last Completed backup | The date and time when data was last backed up from the Shared Drives.

Backup Data | The amount of data that inSync has backed up for that Shared Drive.

App Status | The status of the Shared Drive.

Auto Configuration

Delete | Click Delete to delete the selected site. |
Summary tab
Click on the Shared Drive Name to view the Shared Drives details page.
Backup summary
The following table lists the fields in the Backup Summary section.
Field | Description |
Last Completed Backup | The number of days from last completed backup. |
Last Backup Data | The amount of data backed up during the last completed backup. |
Last Backup Status | The status of the last backup displayed as Backed Up Successfully, or Backup Failed, or Never Backed Up. |
Total Backup Data | The total amount of data backed up by inSync for the Shared Drive to date. |
Storage consumption
The storage consumption section shows how the storage consumption for the site collection has changed over the last 90 days. When you hover the mouse pointer over a particular place in the chart, you can see the storage consumed on a day.
The Summary tab also contains the Shared Drive Details and the Shared Drive Settings sections which are described as following.
Shared Drive Details
The following table lists the fields in the Site Details section.
Field | Description |
Account Name | The name of the Shared Drive. |
Account ID | The web address of the Shared Drive. |
Status | The Shared Drive status displayed as Enabled or Disabled. |
Added on | The date and time on which the Shared Drive was added to inSync. |
Shared Drive settings
By default, the backup and retention criteria for Shared Drive Settings are set to the Auto Configuration settings.
Click the Edit button to customize the Shared Drive Settings.
The following table lists the fields in the Shared Drive Settings section.

Backup Frequency | The frequency of backup. |
Storage | The assigned storage region. |
Retention Settings |

Retain daily backups for | The number of days for which the daily backups will be retained. |
Retain weekly backups for | The number of weeks for which the weekly backups will be retained. |
Retain monthly backups for | The number of months for which the monthly backups will be retained. |
File Exclusions | The file extensions and formats which are not considered for backup. |
Actions
The actions that can be performed on the Shared Drives Summary tab are described in the below table. Click to perform the following actions.

Backup Now | Click Backup Now to perform a manual backup of the Shared Drive. |
Enable | Click Enable to enable backup for the selected Shared Drive. |
Disable | Click Disable to disable the backup for the selected enabled Shared Drive. |
Edit | Click edit to update the already configured Shared Drive Settings. |
Restore
Click the Restore button to view the most recent snapshot of the Shared Drives available for restore and download.
The following table lists the fields within the Restore button.
Field | Description |
Snapshot selector | The date and time of the latest snapshot of the Shared Drive backed up data.
Dropdown which lists snapshots of the Last 24 hours, Last 7 days, and snapshots older than 7 days. |
Name | The name of the Shared Drive and a list of data within the Shared Drive.
For example: Documents. |
Actions
The actions that can be performed on the Shared Drives Restore page are described in the below table.
Field | Description |
Restore | Click Restore to perform restore or recovery of the Shared Drive from a point in time snapshot. |
Download | Click Download to download SharePoint from a point in time snapshot. |
Activity Stream
The Activity Stream tab lists the Backup and Restore activity logs over the Shared Drives as follows:
Backup activities : Displays a list of backup activity logs that are less than 30 days old.
📝 Note: If the count of backup activity logs for the current month exceeds 30, inSync automatically deletes the backup activity logs which are more than 30 days old.
Download and Restore activities : All the Download and Restore activities performed to date are displayed.
📝 Note: inSync does not delete the download and restore activity logs.
Actions
Select the Activity on the Activity Stream page to perform the actions as described in the below table.
