This section describes how to configure backups for Power Apps. In Power Apps, Environments are the primary containers for applications. You can protect these environments using Manual Configuration or Auto-Configuration.
Prerequisites and Discovery
Complete Power Platform onboarding. See Getting Started with Power Platform Protection.
Register the Admin Management Application before Power Apps discovery starts. See Authorizing Tenant Environments for Power Platform Protection.
Result: Druva automatically initiates an environment scan. Once the scan completes, all detected published and personal environments appear in the All Environments list.
Backup Configuration Methods
To back up an environment, you must associate it with a Backup Profile using one of two methods:
Manual Configuration
You manually select individual environments from the All Environments list and assign a profile and storage. Use this for specific, one-off protection needs. See Manually Configuring Backups for Power Apps Environments.
Auto-Configuration
You define one Auto-configuration Rule. Druva applies the Backup Profile to all currently discovered environments and any environments created in the future. See Auto-Configuring Power Apps Environment Backups.
The configured environment listing and the environment details page display the selected configuration mode.
Disabling Backup for an Environment
Navigate to Power Apps and locate the environment.
Select the action menu (⋮) and select Disable Backup.
Confirm the action.
Disabling backup stops future backup jobs for the environment. Existing snapshots are retained according to the assigned backup profile's retention settings.
