Problem Statement
You need to replace or update the hostname for an already deployed AD/LDAP Connector.
Overview
This article explains how to easily update the hostname of an existing AD/LDAP Connector directly from the inSync Management Console.
How to: Change/Update the Hostname for an Existing AD Connector
Use these steps to update the hostname of an active and accessible AD/LDAP Connector.
Log in to the inSync Management Console.
Go to AD/LDAP Connectors: Click the Hamburger icon (top-left corner) > Druva Cloud Settings > AD/LDAP Connectors.
Switch to Accounts View: If not already, switch the view to Accounts.
Edit the Account: Select the radio button next to the account that requires a hostname update, then click Edit.
Update the Hostname: In the Edit AD/LDAP Account pop-up window, modify the Host value to the new applicable hostname.
Save Your Changes: Click Save to apply the new hostname.
✅ Important Note
After updating the hostname, ensure that the new hostname is correctly resolvable from the inSync Cloud.
Verify that the AD/LDAP Connector service running on the server is configured to use this new hostname, see Add Account Credentials
If the IP address of the AD/LDAP Connector server has also changed, confirm that network connectivity to the new IP address is established.
Make sure all the mappings associated with the old hostname are pointing to the new hostname.
