Deleting an Power Platform Auto-Configuration Rule

This section defines the procedure for removing an Auto-Configuration Rule and the resulting impact on resource protection.

Permanent Deletion Impact

  • Irreversibility: Deleting a rule is a permanent action that cannot be undone.

  • Resource Unmapping: Upon deletion, all resources previously managed by the rule are unmapped.


Post-Deletion Backup Behavior

The backup status of unmapped resources is determined by the Unmatched Resources setting configured within the rule prior to deletion.

Checked (Enabled)

Backups are Disabled for all associated resources.

Unchecked (Disabled)

Backups Continue using the last assigned profile/storage settings.


Deletion Procedure

  1. Navigate: In the left navigation pane, go toDruva Cloud Platform Console > All Services > Auto Configuration Rules.

  2. Access Summary: Click the Rule Name to open the Rule Summary page.

  3. Execute Deletion:

    • Click the Delete button.

    • Reason (Required): Enter a justification for the deletion for audit logging purposes.

    • Confirm: Click Delete to finalize the removal from the console.

Click Sync Now to apply the changes.
