This section defines the procedure for removing an Auto-Configuration Rule and the resulting impact on resource protection.
Permanent Deletion Impact
Irreversibility: Deleting a rule is a permanent action that cannot be undone.
Resource Unmapping: Upon deletion, all resources previously managed by the rule are unmapped.
Post-Deletion Backup Behavior
The backup status of unmapped resources is determined by the Unmatched Resources setting configured within the rule prior to deletion.
"Unmatched Resources" Toggle | Backup Status After Deletion & Sync |
Checked (Enabled) | Backups are Disabled for all associated resources. |
Unchecked (Disabled) | Backups Continue using the last assigned profile/storage settings. |
