Overview
This document provides an overview of the Summary dashboard for the Okta integration. This interface allows administrators to monitor backup status, configuration settings, and protected item counts.
Accessing the Dashboard
Log in to the Druva Cloud Platform Console.
Click on the hamburger button and then navigate to All Services> Okta.
3. From the list of available domains, click on the specific Domain Name to view its dedicated dashboard.
The page is divided into two main tabs:
Summary
Backups
Action Buttons
The top-right corner of the Overview page provides quick access to key actions:
Backup Now: Manually initiates an immediate backup of your Okta data.
Restore Data: Launches the restore wizard to recover data.
More Options: Click the three dots to access additional management tasks:
Re-Authorize App: Re-establish the connection between Druva and your Okta tenant if tokens expire or permissions change.
Disable Backup: Stops future scheduled backups for the tenant.
The Summary Tab
The Summary tab serves as the default landing page, offering high-level insights into your tenant's health and configuration.
1. Details Card
Displays the core connectivity information for your Okta tenant.
Backup Enabled: Displays the current protection status; a green checkmark indicates active backups, while a red icon signifies they are disabled.
Storage Region: The specific AWS geographical region where your encrypted backup data is securely stored.
App Status: The real-time connection status.
Added On: The date on which the domain was successfully integrated and configured for protection.
2. Backup Settings Card
Shows the backup settings applied to the tenant:
Backup Frequency: The schedule for automated backups. (e.g. Daily)
Backup Retention: The duration for which snapshots are preserved (e.g., One year).
3. Protected Items
Provides a breakdown of the specific Okta objects being backed up.
4. Backup Summary Card
Provides the status of the most recent backup activity:
Last Backup Status Indicates the outcome of the most recent backup job.
Successful: The backup completed without any issues. (Displayed in Green)
Successful with Errors: The backup completed, but some errors occurred during the process. (Displayed in Yellow)
Failed: The backup could not complete successfully. (Displayed in Red)
Cancelled: The backup job was manually stopped by an administrator. (Displayed in Grey)
Last Completed Backup: The exact date and timestamp of the last successful backup.
Next Scheduled Backup: The date and timestamp for the next scheduled backup.
4. Backup Trend Card
A graphical representation of backup activities over the Last 7 days.
The chart displays a bar for each day.
Color Coding:
Green: Successful backups.
Yellow: Successful with errors.
Red: Failed backups.
Summary Counts: A legend above the chart shows the total count of backups by status (e.g., 44 Success, 1 Failed).
The Backups Tab
The Backups tab provides a historical list of all recovery points (snapshots) available for restore or download.
Snapshot Statistics
A summary banner at the top displays:
Total Snapshots: The total number of available recovery points.
Latest Recovery Point: The timestamp of the most recent snapshot.
Oldest Recovery Point: The timestamp of the oldest retained snapshot.
Snapshots List
The table lists individual snapshots with granular details about data changes. You can sort the list by the Snapshot timestamp.
Column | Description |
Snapshot | The date and time the backup was taken. Clicking the timestamp opens the snapshot for browsing and restoring data. |
# Records Added | The number of new Okta objects (users, groups, etc.) detected and added in this backup. |
# Records Updated | The number of existing objects that were modified since the previous backup. |
# Records Deleted | The number of objects that were deleted from Okta since the previous backup. |
