New Feature

Monitor Okta administrative actions with audit trails

Administrators can now access a comprehensive, chronological record of all administrative modifications made within the Okta environment. This feature captures changes to activity settings to ensure full transparency and accountability by identifying who made a change, what was altered, when it occurred, and where it was applied.

Note: Currently, only Admin Audit Trails are supported for Okta.

Benefits

With this feature, administrators can:

  • Maintain environment integrity by gaining clear oversight of all system configuration changes.

  • Facilitate compliance reporting with detailed, time-stamped logs that provide a verifiable paper trail for auditors.

  • Troubleshoot rapidly by identifying and reverting unauthorized or accidental setting adjustments.

  • Navigate granularly using deep-link hyperlinks within the log to click through directly to specific resources.

  • Generate external reports by exporting activity logs in either CSV or HTML formats.

  • Customize data retention for Audit Logs by configuring the audit trail retention policy to store logs for up to one year or indefinitely.

Impact

This update enhances environment security, simplifies compliance reporting, and improves troubleshooting efficiency for administrators managing Okta.

New Feature

Protect Okta with Druva

Administrators can now bridge the "Identity Gap" by securing their identity control plane against cyber threats, accidental deletions, and configuration errors. This feature provides air-gapped, immutable backups of tenant data—including users, groups, policies, and application configurations—to eliminate single points of failure. By storing backups in a dedicated security cloud isolated from the Okta environment, recovery points remain tamper-proof even if a tenant is fully compromised.

Benefits

With this feature, administrators can:

  • Ensure automated, relationship-aware recovery: Restore users while automatically reconnecting their group memberships, application entitlements, and MFA policies to ensure immediate productivity.

  • Perform granular or full-organization rollbacks: Minimize downtime by reversing human error or malicious activity, whether restoring a single deleted group or an entire organization.

  • Accelerate incident investigations: Compare two backup snapshots side-by-side to pinpoint exactly what changed and when a change occurred.

  • Simplify M&A and DevOps workflows: Securely seed or recover configurations and users from one tenant to another for rapid sandbox validation or disaster recovery to clean instances.

Impact

This update enhances data integrity and security compliance by providing a secure "undo button" that restores complex relationships and dependencies required for functional access.
