Updated this week

Problem description

Deleting an existing Environment in Druva CloudRanger fails with the following error: Cannot read property 'stack_name' of null

Cause

  • Environment, along with its associated CloudFormation stack, has been manually deleted from the AWS account.

  • When CloudRanger attempts to locate the environment’s stack in AWS, it cannot be found, resulting in the error.

Traceback

Resolution

  • To properly delete an Environment from Druva CloudRanger, it is recommended to delete the Environment directly from the CloudRanger console, rather than manually removing the CloudFormation stack from AWS.

  • If the Environment has already been deleted from the AWS account, it will no longer be possible to remove it from the CloudRanger console. In such cases, please contact Druva Support for assistance.
