Troubleshoot error 403 Access Denied Error when accessing DCP console

This article applies to:

  • OS: All supported operating systems

  • Product edition: inSync, Phoenix, and Druva Cloud Platform (DCP)

Problem description

When trying to access any of the DCP controls, the below error message is displayed.

"403, Access Denied” “You don't have permission to access the page you are trying to view.

Cause

The administrators trying to access DCP controls does not have the Druva cloud administrator rights.

Resolution

Provide the DCP cloud administrator permissions to the user using the following steps:

  1. Login to the Druva console using a DCP admin.

  2. Click on 'Hamburger menu' on the top left corner.

  3. Click on 'Manage administrators' from the main menu.

  • Click on the admin name in the list.

  • Click on 'Edit' and select 'Druva Cloud Administrator'.

  1. Click Save.

  2. Ask the admin to login again to the DCP console to reflect the changes.

  3. The user's role is now updated to Druva cloud administrator and can perform the administrator tasks.
