Overview

In the MSC portal, the Event Details page displays events for different actions performed on the MSC portal. The actions are grouped into the following categories:

View Events page

This section describes the fields and actions on the Events page.

The Events page provides information about the events that occurred in the MSC portal for different actions that administrators perform. These actions can be related to login to the portal, adding, editing, deleting a subscription or any entity, etc.

Access Path

Edit section
  1. On the main toolbar of the MSC portal, click Events.
    The Events page appears with options to view events into different categories, such as Login Activities, Audit Trails, Subscription History.

Login Activities

This tab displays all events that occurred during the login into the MSC portal. You can export the selected events in a CSV format.

The following table explains the columns:

Field

Description

Action

The current status of the login activity.

IP Address

The IP address of the system where the action is performed.

Generated On

The date and time when the event is generated.

Email Address

The email address associated with the administrator performing the login activity.

The following login activities events are tracked:

  • Login Success

  • Login Failed

Audit Trails

This tab displays the events for each action performed on the MSC portal after logging in.

You can select an action and view the details or you can also export the details of the selected action in a CSV format.

The following table explains the fields on the Audit Trails page:

Field

Description

Email Address

The email address of the administrator who performed the activity.

Action

The action that the administrator performed on different entities in the MSC portal.

The action can be related to creating, updating, deleting service plans, customers, administrators, and so on.

Entity Type

The type of entities in the MSC portal.

For example, Customer, Service Plan, Report, Administrator, etc.

Entity Name

The name of the entity on which the action was performed.

For example, Customer Name, Service Plan Name, Report Name, and so on.

Generated On

The date and time when the event was generated.

Description

The description of the action performed.

The following table lists the events for the actions performed on the MSC portal after logging in:

Customer

This event indicates that a new customer is created.

Update

Customer

This event indicates that the customer details are updated.

Delete

Customer

This event indicates that a customer is deleted.

Create

Service Plan

This event indicates that a new service plan is created.

Update

Service Plan

This event indicates that the service plan details are updated.

Delete

Service Plan

This event indicates that an existing service plan is deleted.

Add

Customer Contact

This event indicates that a new customer contact is added.

Delete

Customer Contact

This event indicates that an existing customer contact is deleted.

Update

Customer Contact

This event indicates that the customer's contact details are updated.

Change

Password

This event indicates that the password has been changed.

Delete Initiated

Product

This event indicates that the <product name> would be removed for <customer name> in the next 30 days or 24 hours based on the option selected while marking the product for deletion.

Undelete

Product

This event indicates that the delete operation is canceled for the tenant <product name> - <customer name>. The tenant is now active.

Subscription History

This tab displays the events for subscription related actions performed on the MSC portal after logging in.

You can export the selected events in a CSV format.

The following table lists the fields on the Subscription History page:

Action

The action related to subscription that the administrator performed on the MSC portal.

The action can be related to creating, updating, deleting service plans, customers, administrators, and so on.

Entity Type

The type of entities in the MSC portal.

For example, Customer, Service Plan, Password, Report, Administrator.

Entity Name

The name of the entity on which the action was performed.

For example, Customer Name, Service Plan Name, Report Name.

Email Address

The email address of the administrator who performed the action.

Description

The description of the action performed.

Generated On

The date and time when the event was generated.

The subscription history events are generated for the following actions:

  • Create Customer

  • Add Product

  • Delete Product

  • Suspend Product

  • Resume Product

  • Renew Product

  • Upgrade Product

  • Downgrade Product

View event details

This section provides instructions to view theEvent Detailspage. Click View Details on the respective Login Activities, Audit Trails, and Subscription History pages to view the event summary and other important event details.

The Summary section displays event information such as the event type, the name of the entity on which the action was performed, the date and time when the event is generated, and the description of the action performed. The Details section further specifies the result of the action performed, the email address, and the IP address of the resource for which the event was performed.
