Provides information about the files types that inSync supports for backup and restore.

Updated over 8 months ago

inSync provides defined file types that you can choose to include or exclude from a backup. You can configure these settings from the Create Profile wizard.

By default, inSync:

  • Excludes the following files types from backups: Video files, Audio files, Executables, Image files, and Email files.

  • Includes the following file types in backups: Office files, PDF files, and HTML files.

See Defined file types for backup.

Based on your requirements, you can always change the default selections while configuring the profile in inSync.
