Restore settings not populated during restore for EC2 instance when Backup not created by CloudRanager

Restore settings not populated during restore for EC2 instance when Backup not created by CloudRanager

Updated today

Problem Description

Restore settings not populated during restore for EC2 instance when Backup not created by CloudRanager. This is expected behavior.

  • When resources are added to the appropriate Backup Policies, tags are applied automatically. However, for restore settings to function correctly, a scheduled or on-demand backup must be executed by CloudRanger.

The screen on left shows restore settings populated.

Screen on right, backup not created by CloudRanger with missing restore settings.
