Overview
This article explains how to stop Druva from backing up a specific SharePoint Online site. This is useful if you pause or permanently halt backups for a particular site by disabling it within the Druva console.
Problem Description
Guidance is needed to stop or pause backup jobs for a specific SharePoint Online site, as merely stopping an active task may offer only a temporary solution.
Resolution
The recommended method to stop backups for a specific SharePoint Online site is to disable the site from being backed up within the Druva console. This action ensures that no further backups are taken for that site until it is explicitly re-enabled.
Follow these steps:
Sign in to the Druva Cloud Platform Console.
Navigate to Microsoft 365 > SharePoint.
Go to the Configured Sites tab (or a similarly named section, such as "Site Collections") to view SharePoint sites configured for backup.
Locate the SharePoint site you wish to stop backing up (e.g., "Past Projects").
Select the checkbox next to the site (or sites) you want to disable.
Click the "Disable Backup" button or find a similar option.
Confirm the action in the confirmation dialog box.
Once disabled, Druva will cease backing up data from this SharePoint site and halt any currently running backup job for this specific site. However, existing backed-up data will remain available for restoration according to your retention policy.
