Product Licenses for Druva Provisioned Customers

Overview

This article provides comprehensive instructions for requesting product licenses for Druva Provisioned customers through the Managed Services Center (MSC) console. It also outlines the procedures for editing, deleting, suspending, and activating product licenses.

Request Product License

To request a product License for Druva Provisioned Customers

  1. Log in to the Managed Services Center console, and click Customers. The Customers page appears.

  2. On the Customers page, select the Druva Provisioned tab. It displays the list of all Druva Provisioned customers.

  3. Select the customer for which you want to request Product License.

  4. In the Product Details section, click Request Product License. The Request Product Licenses window appears.

  5. From the window, enable the required products (Enterprise Workloads and/or SaaS Apps and Endpoints) using the radio buttons. You can also enable the Security Add-ons if required.

  6. Enter the appropriate information in the required fields for the selected product and click Submit.

    • Tenant Type - Select the tenant type. It can be either of the following:

      • Evaluation: This is a trial plan. The default evaluation period for creating an Evaluation tenant is 30 days. You can extend it by maximum of 30 days at a time. This allows for a total evaluation period of up to 60 days from the tenant creation date.

      • Commercial: For this tenant type, a Enterprise Workloads license is valid for eight years, while a SaaS Apps and Endpoints license is valid for three years.

        You cannot revert the Commercial tenant type to Evaluation.
        ​


    • Edition - Select the License Edition of the customer:

      • Business - This edition has limited features.

      • Enterprise - This edition includes features from Business along with additional features. For SaaS Apps and Endpoints, this edition includes features from Business along with additional features such as High Storage Tier and Sensitive Data Governance.

      • Elite - This edition includes features from Business and Enterprise along with additional features." For SaaS Apps and Endpoints, it similarly supports High Storage Tier and Sensitive Data Governance.

    • License Expiry Date - Select the date when the service plan will expire for the customer. If you have chosen the tenant type as Evaluation, the license expiry date is automatically displayed.

    • Enable Add-ons -

      • LTR - Enable LTR either when creating a product tenant or when editing an existing product tenant. To know more, see Enable LTR in Managed Services Center (MSC).

        • LTR Storage option is available only with Enterprise and Elite editions.

        • Once enabled, LTR cannot be disabled from the UI. Please contact Druva support to disable LTR.
          ​


      • Archive - Enable Archive either when creating a product tenant or when editing an existing product tenant.
        ​

        • The availability of the Archive feature is limited to Enterprise and Elite editions.

        • Archive is not supported on Azure Storage.
          ​


    • AWS Storage Region - Select the AWS Storage Region you want to assign to the customer for data backup.

    • Azure Storage Region - Select the Azure Storage Region you want to assign to the customer for data backup.

    • High Storage Tier - Select this checkbox if you want customers to be on a high storage tier plan for SaaS Apps and Endpoints. The storage limit will be set to 300 GB per user.

      This feature is available only with the Enterprise and Elite license editions for SaaS Apps and Endpoints.

    • Sensitive Data Governance - Select this checkbox to enable and avail of the Sensitive Data Governance capability to manage and protect sensitive data for SaaS Apps and Endpoints.
      ​

      This feature is available only with the Enterprise and Elite license editions for SaaS Apps and Endpoints.
      ​


    • Total User Count - Provide the maximum count of users you want to allocate to this customer for backup. The maximum user count allowed is 999999.

    • Total Preserved User Count - Provide a limit for the number of preserved users the customer can have. Druva SaaS Apps and Endpoints automatically provision additional preserved users equivalent to 10% of the active user count over and above the defined value.
      ​For example, if you enter 10 as Active Users and 10 as Preserved Users, Druva SaaS Apps and Endpoints adds 10% of the Active Users count to the Preserved Users count to make the Total Preserved User count 11.

      This option is available only with Enterprise and Elite editions.

Edit Product License

To edit the Product License

Ensure you are registered on Druva's Support Portal before you make changes to your Product License.


  1. In the Managed Service Centre (MSC) Console, go to Customers > Druva Provisioned.

  2. On the Druva Provisioned page, select the customer to edit the Product License.

  3. In the Product Details section, click the vertical three dots > Edit. The Edit Licenses window appears.

  4. On the Edit Product Licenses window, edit the required Product License details and click Submit.
    ​



    πŸ“ Notes

    • The request details may take some time to update and will be displayed on the Product Details section. You can track the request details by clicking on the Request ID.

    • You cannot submit any other request until the existing request is closed.
      ​


Delete Product License

To delete the Product License

  1. In the Managed Service Centre (MSC) Console, go to Customers > Druva Provisioned.

  2. On the Druva Provisioned page, select the customer to delete the Product License.

  3. In the Product Details section, click the vertical three dots > Delete. The Delete Products window appears.

  4. On the Delete Products window, select the products that you want to delete and click Submit.

    Deleting a product will permanently remove all associated data, storage, and configurations.
    ​


Suspend Product License

To Suspend the Product License

  1. In the Managed Service Centre (MSC) Console, go to Customers > Druva Provisioned.

  2. On the Druva Provisioned page, select the customer to suspend the Product License.

  3. In the Product Details section, click the vertical three dots > Suspend. The Suspend Products window appears.

  4. On the Suspend Products window, select the products that you want to suspend and click Submit.

Activate Product License

To Activate the Product License

  1. In the Managed Service Centre (MSC) Console, go to Customers > Druva Provisioned.

  2. On the Druva Provisioned page, select the customer to activate the Product License.

  3. In the Product Details section, click the vertical three dots > Activate. The Activate Products window appears.

  4. On the Activate Products window, select the products that you want to activate and click Submit.
