About MSC Provisioned and Druva Provisioned Customers

Updated today

Overview

The Managed Services Centre (MSC) console now offers a unified view for both Druva Provisioned (formerly Discrete) and MSC Provisioned customers.

Managed Service Providers (MSPs) can now create Druva Provisioned Customers and request product licenses directly within the MSC console

MSP admins can now perform the following actions for Druva Provisioned customers:

  • Create and initiate licensing for new customers instantly within the MSC console.

  • Request Druva Support directly from the MSC console to enable the additional features and workloads that are not available to MSC Provisioned Customers.

  • View and download aggregated product and consumption reports.

πŸ“ Note
GovCloud FIPS and FedRAMP customers will be supported in MSC at a later stage. Currently, only Public Cloud customers are visible in the MSC console.

What are MSC Provisioned Customers

MSC Provisioned Customers are provisioned and managed entirely by the Managed Services Provider (MSP). In this model, the MSP is fully responsible for provisioning and managing customers. This includes license provisioning, backup and restore operations, and billing. However, the MSC provisioned customers do not have access to the additional features and workloads such as Archive Storage, Threat Hunt, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, etc.

What are Druva Provisioned Customers

Druva Provisioned customers are provisioned by Druva and managed by Managed Services Provider (MSPs). Druva handles the license provisioning for these customers, while the MSP manages other operations like configuring backups, restores, and billing. A significant advantage for Druva Provisioned Customers is access to additional features and workloads, that are not available to MSC Provisioned Customers. These include features and workloads like:

  • Salesforce

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365

  • Archive Storage

  • Threat Hunt
