Add a new customer as Education License Customer
This section describes the procedure to add a new customer as an Education License Customer from the MSC Console.
To add a new customer as an Education License customer
Log in to the Managed Services Center (MSC) Console.
On the menu bar, click Customers. The Customers page displays the list of all the customers with their details.
From the Customers page, create a new customer. Refer to the steps in Create and Manage Customers.
Once a new customer is created, click on the customer name to navigate to the Customer Details page.
Click the Add button on the Product Details section to add the SaaS Apps and Endpoints product tenant.
📝 Note
The Education License is not applicable for Enterprise Workloads and Endpoints customers.
On the Add SaaS Apps and Endpoints page, enter the details. Refer steps in Add Product Tenants.
Click on the Enable Education License button to enable the Education License for Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
Enter the Total User Count and Total Preserved User Count. Based on the value entered, the distribution of licenses is displayed for faculty and students in a 1:4 ratio.
📝 Note
The Education License does not apply to Preserved Users. Therefore, the Education discount (1:4) is calculated and displayed only for the Total User Count.
Click Save.
In the Education License Confirmation window, enter the Customer Organization and Customer Domain, then click Submit.
The Education License request is sent for approval. The Education License status is updated to “Request Pending” on the Customer Details page.
📝 Note
The MSP Admin will receive an email containing the details of the submitted request. Druva will review the request and proceed with the appropriate action.
Convert an existing customer to Education License customer
This section describes the procedure to convert an existing customer to Education License Customer from the MSC Console.
To convert an existing customer to Education License Customer
From the Managed Service Center (MSC) console, navigate to the Customers page.
Click on the Customer to navigate to the Customer Details page.
On the SaaS Apps and Endpoints card of the Product Details section, go to the Three Vertical Ellipsis icon > Edit.
From the Edit SaaS Apps and Endpoints window, click on the Enable Education License button to enable the Education License for Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
Enter the Total User Count and Total Preserved User Count. Based on the value entered, the distribution of licenses is displayed for faculty and students in a 1:4 ratio.
📝 NotesThe Total User Count must be in the multiple of 5. Example 5, 10, 20, etc.

Click Save.

Convert an Education License customer to a Non-Education License customer
This section describes the procedure to convert an Education License Customer to a Non-Education License Customer from the MSC Console.
To convert an Education License Customer to a Non-Education License Customer
From the Managed Service Center (MSC) console, navigate to the Customers page.
Click on the Customer to navigate to the Customer Details page.
On the SaaS Apps and Endpoints card of the Product Details section, go to the Vertical Ellipsis icon > Edit.
From the Edit SaaS Apps and Endpoints window, click on the Enable Education License button to disable the Education License for Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
Click Save. The Education license is disabled.
📝 Note
You can edit the Total User Count and Total Preserved User Count for Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 licenses while disabling the Education License.
Resubmit the request
If the Education License request is declined, the MSP Admin receives an email notification with the reason for rejection. The status of the request can also be viewed in the Product Details section on the Customer Details page.
To proceed, the MSP Admin can resubmit the request by providing the required details for validation and initiating the approval process again.
To re-submit the request for Education License:
From the MSC Console, go to the Customer Details page of the customer for whom you want to resubmit the Education License request
On the SaaS Apps and Endpoints card of the Product Details section, click Resubmit Request.
In the Education License Confirmation window, enter the Customer Organization and Customer Domain, then click Submit.
The Education License request is sent for approval. The Education License status is updated to “Request Pending” on the Customer Details page.
