Starting July 01, 2023, We have enhanced the Microsoft 365 Apps with the single configuration for the entire Microsoft 365 Groups applications more information on the enhancement is available here.

With the above enhancements, the SharePoint sites associated with Parent applications like Teams and Groups will not be deleted from the Admin Console.

Below error messages are displayed when any SharePoint-associated with Parent app is attempted for deletion:

The deletion process now involves the deletion of parent apps like Teams or Groups, in short questioned group or team has to be deleted so that the associated SharePoint site will be automatically removed from the console

The Classic SharePoint sites having no association with Groups and Teams can be deleted individually.
