Overview
With recent updates, the Druva App for Salesforce user interface (UI) is redesign with updated navigation workflows, and renamed terms.
📝 Important You may require to enable the new Backup tab manually to continue the backup and restore activity. For detailed steps, see Enable new Backup Tab. |

Redesigned Pages & Workflows
Backup Set Detail Page
Navigating a backup set opens a streamlined, 3-tab layout replacing the single scrolling page:
Summary Tab: Displays an enhanced 12-field metadata grid (Organization ID/Name, Storage Region, Backup Frequency, Last/Next Backup timestamps, Status, and Size).
Backups Tab: Displays point-in-time snapshots with details including Snapshot Timestamp, Duration, # Objects, Backup Type, Total Records Affected, Created, Updated, and Deleted.
Note: Start and End timestamps have been moved to the Tasks panel to reduce table clutter.Compare Tab: Allows point-in-time comparison of records or metadata between any two selected snapshots.
Streamlined Create / Edit Backup Set Wizard
The legacy 10-tab configuration window has been consolidated into a guided 4-step wizard:
Step 1: Backup Set Details: Name, description, associated project, and target Salesforce org.
Step 2: Schedule and Retention: Frequency settings (Daily or High-Frequency), start time, and retention rules.
Step 3: Backup Content: Unified sub-tabs for Objects, Metadata, and Field exclusions.
Step 4: Data Exception Rules (Optional): Define threshold rules to flag anomalous record changes.
💡 Important: Email notifications are no longer configured within the creation wizard. To manage notification recipients, navigate to Backup → Backup Set → ▾ → Manage Subscribers.
Notification Management (Manage Subscribers)
Instead of restricting notifications to the logged-in user, the new Manage Subscribers modal supports multiple email recipients with event-level granularity.
To configure notification subscribers:
Go to the Backup page.
Click the overflow menu (▾) next to a backup set and select Manage Subscribers.
Add target email addresses and set specific triggers for On Success, On Failure, On Exceptions, or On Restore.
Direct Restore Launchers & Unified Wizard
Data restores now use a unified 3-step wizard launched directly from the Backups tab:
Initiate Full Snapshot Restore
Navigate to Backup → Backup Set → Backups tab.
Select a snapshot row and click Restore.
The restore wizard opens with all objects pre-selected in Step 1 (Basic Configuration).
Initiate a Record-Level Restore
Navigate to Backup → Backup Set → Backups tab.
Click a snapshot timestamp, select the Objects tab, and choose specific records.
Click Restore. The wizard opens directly at Step 3 (Preview) with pre-filtered records.
Unified 3-Step Restore Wizard
Step 1: Basic Configuration: Specify target org, notification email, and general settings.
Step 2: Restore Settings (Optional): Advanced settings featuring a vertical navigation menu for Record Selection, Child Record Levels, Field Transformations, Data Masking, Validation Rules, and Batch Size. Auto-saves upon modification.
Step 3: Preview: Review job parameters and submit.
Archival Interface Updates
Archival Home Page: Separated into two distinct tabs:
Archival Sets Tab: Full directory of archival configurations.
Storage Summary Tab: Houses the Salesforce Storage Summary chart and Total Storage Savings (90-day trend line).
Archival Set Details: Updated to 3 dedicated tabs (Summary, Archival Content, and Tasks). The Archival Content tab no longer automatically loads record data on open, reducing load times for high-volume orgs.
