Discovery is the process where Druva scans your AWS accounts to find EFS file systems. Druva automatically discovers EFS file systems in your onboarded AWS accounts during daily synchronization.
Before you begin
Onboarding: To discover and protect your Amazon Elastic File Systems, you will first need to onboard your AWS account to Druva, via a CloudFormation template (CFT).
Create an AWS Access Role to grant access to your AWS account and provision the access role for your AWS environment Alternatively, If you already have an existing account: Update Existing AWS Access Roles for AWS Workloads to synchronize your AWS environment with Druva..
Prerequisites: Review the prerequisites to ensure your Amazon EFS resources are discovered and accessible for protection.
Discover EFS resources for backup
To manually trigger discovery:
Log into the Management Console, and navigate to Protect > AWS > Elastic File System.
Click the Refresh icon.
This initiates the synchronization with your AWS environment.
You can view all the File Systems discovered from the EFS menu on the left navigation pane.
The All File Systems page provides the following information:
Field | Description |
Name | Name of the Amazon Elastic File System. |
Region | The source AWS Region of the Amazon File System. |
Size | Size of the Amazon File System. |
Availability Zone | The Availability Zone of the Amazon File System. Amazon Elastic File Systems can be deployed as Regional (multi-AZ) or One Zone (single-AZ) file systems. |
Creation Date | Date on which the Amazon File System is created. |
Configuration Status | Specifies whether the Amazon File System is configured for backup, that is Configured or Not Configured. |
