Can I rename my Storage Unit from the Enterprise Workloads Management Console?

No, we do not support renaming a Storage Unit from the Enterprise Workloads Management Console. However, you can rename your Storage Units on the Dell Data Domain console, if absolutely needed.

If you edit the Storage Unit name, contact Support to continue protecting your data.

I see my Storage Unit credentials are marked “Invalid” on the Enterprise Workloads Management Console. How can I resolve it?

If you modify the Storage Unit name or password, ensure that you update the credentials on the Druva Management Console, so that backup can continue without any interruptions.

Can I attach one Storage Unit to multiple instances of CloudCache?

No. You cannot attach one Storage Unit to more than one CloudCache instance. However, you can attach multiple Storage Units to a single CloudCache instance.

Can I modify the registered Hostname or IP address of my DD system after the initial setup?

No. Hostname or IP, once registered, cannot be modified. If you have an environment where its IP may change, we recommend that you register your DD using FQDN. In case the hostname of your Data Domain is changed, contact Support for continuing operations without any interruptions.
