You can integrate Dell Data Domain appliance as a local backup target for Enterprise Workloads and the Dell PowerProtect Backup Service (PPBS). This integration creates a seamless, hybrid data protection solution that combines the on-premises performance and deduplication efficiency of Dell Data Domain with the modern cyber resilience of the cloud.
Key Benefits
Seamless management: Attach Data Domain Storage Units directly within the CloudCache via the Enterprise Workloads/PPBS UI, eliminating the need for manual command-line configurations.
Flexible topology: A single Data Domain appliance can be connected to multiple CloudCache instances. Each CloudCache writes to a separate, dedicated Storage Unit on the Data Domain.
Authentication: Integration is secured using username and password authentication.
Simplified Hybrid Data Protection: Easily manage data across on-premises cache and the cloud.
Extended retention: CloudCache with Data Domain allows for configurable retention up to 90 days.
