Manage Backup Sets

You can view the details of configured backup sets by clicking the backup set name under the Backup Sets tab.

Backup Set Details Page

The details page provides two tabs for management and recovery:

  • Summary: Displays high-level information, including the storage account name, file share name, and whether the backup is currently disabled or enabled.

  • Recovery Points: Lists all available recovery points that can be used to initiate a restore operation.

Backup Set Actions

You can perform the following actions directly from the backup set details page:

Trigger Manual Backup

Click Backup Now from the details page.

Initiates an immediate, on-demand backup job.

Initiate Restore

Go to the Recovery Points tab, select the required recovery point, and click Restore.

Initiates an immediate, on-demand backup job.

Edit Configuration

From the Kebab menu . . ., and click Edit.

Allows modification of content filters or policies.

Enable/Disable Backup

From the Kebab menu . . ., and click Enable Backup or Disable Backup.

Allows modification of content filters or policies.

Delete Backup Set

From the Kebab menu . . ., and click Delete.

Deletes the backup set and all its associated recovery points.

We recommend enabling Rollback Actions on your backupset to ensure you can recover from accidental or malicious deletions. For more information, see Rollback actions.

Deleting Recovery Points

Manually deleting recovery points allows authorized administrators to purge data from warm storage, thereby freeing up space and associated Druva credit consumption.

User Scope

  • Authorized Cloud Administrators can delete any warm recovery point.

  • Authorized Group Administrators can delete warm recovery points associated with backup sets belonging to their assigned administrative groups.

Procedure to Delete Recovery Points

  1. Navigate to the desired backup set and go to the Recovery Points tab.

  2. In the Recovery Points section, select the recovery points that you want to delete, and then click Delete.

  3. Confirm the action to purge the data from warm storage.


Important

The last recovery point for any backup set cannot be deleted. To delete the last recovery point, contact Support.
