We have enhanced your Amazon EC2 and EBS Management Console to better align with the foundational structure of Druva Cloud Platform. This integration brings a consistent user experience across Druva’s products and services, and security parity for Amazon EC2 and EBS workloads.
Important: Currently this integration applies only to EC2 and EBS Resources. For more information, refer to Amazon EC2 and EBS Data Protection, Your existing deployments for all other AWS Workloads remain unchanged.
What's New
Integrated Policy Management
Configure EC2, EBS, RDS, DynamoDB, and Redshift resources with a unified backup policy workflow.
The existing policy management remains unchanged for these resources. Amazon S3 and EFS file systems will maintain independent backup policies. For detailed instructions on managing policies for your EC2 and EBS resources, see Manage Backup Policies.
Manage Backup Sets
The enhanced workflow brings a new Backup Sets tab to quickly configure your EC2 and EBS resources for backup. All corresponding recovery points are available by backup set, or can be located from the Recovery Points tab.
To configure your EC2 and EBS resources for backup and manage backup sets, see Manage Backup Sets.
Jobs Monitoring
The integration brings streamlined views for Airgap Backup and Restore Jobs, and a distinct view for orchestrated snapshots. To access EC2 Backup Jobs, navigate to Monitor > Jobs from the top menu bar and click EC2 from the left pane.
Click the Backup tab to view EC2 jobs specific to EC2 Airgap Backup.
Navigate to the Snapshot tab to view EC2 jobs triggered as part of snapshot orchestration.
Restore Management
The Restore tab is no longer available within the EC2 and EBS user interface, and you can view these from the Restore Jobs page. You can also access File Level Recovery download links from the respective recovery job on the Restore Jobs page.
Customer action
There is no action required from your end. We aim to make this migration seamless and ensure a smooth integration.
