Overview
As an inSync administrator, you can define the frequency of backups that are automatically triggered for Cloud Apps.
You can specify how many times inSync should trigger automatic backups in a day or in a week.
❗ Important
For any Schedule backup to work, inSync requires a data encryption key (ekey) for authentication of backup.
For Schedule backups to work it is mandatory to have either inSync connector or KMS enabled for the inSync Account. For more information, see https://docs.druva.com/Knowledge_Base/inSync/Troubleshooting/Scheduled_backups_failing_for_Cloud_Apps
Configure the backup schedule for Exchange Online, OneDrive, Gmail, and Google Drive
To define the backup interval, perform the following steps:
On the inSync Management Console menu bar, click Profiles.
Click the profile for which you want to define the backup interval for Cloud Apps.
Click Edit (On the top right hand corner) >SaaS Apps > Backup Schedule & Retention .
Under the Backup Schedule option, select the frequency of scheduled automatic backups for Cloud Apps.
Click Save.
By default, the following options are available to define backup frequency:
Twice a Day
Once a Day
Thrice a Week
Twice a Week
Once a Week
Customers who want more options to define backup frequencies such as Five Times a Day and Thrice a Day should contact the Druva Support and get these options enabled for their inSync account.
