A backup policy automatically generates the backup in the origin AWS account. Druva CloudRanger offers a cross-account backup functionality to create copies in another AWS account. This generates additional copies in your chosen account, with the same retention criteria as defined in the backup policy.
📝 Note
Cross-account backup is not supported for DynamoDB and Redshift resources.
You can choose to save additional backup copies when you are creating a new backup policy.
To define additional copies for a pre-existing policy:
On the top navigation bar, click Policies and then select the policy you wish to edit.
Navigate to the Retention tab, and select the Save an extra copy to another account checkbox.
Specify the account to create a copy in and the preferred AWS region.
Click Save & Continue.
