Deleted Device Report

Overview

This report provides details of the devices that are deleted from the Endpoints console using any of the following methods:

  • Manually deleted by an administrator

  • Auto-deletion of inactive devices

  • Auto-deletion of preserved AD/LDAP users

  • Auto-deletion of preserved users

  • Deleted using the 'Delete a Device' API

Summary

Total Deleted Devices - The total number of devices that are deleted from Endpoints.

Total Backup Data - The total size of backed-up data for the device before deletion.

Details

Deleted Devices by Profile - Number of devices deleted per profile.

User Status of Deleted Devices - Status of the user the deleted device is associated with- Active, Preserved, Deleted.

User Status of Deleted Devices - The pie chart depicts the user status of the deleted devices, such as active, preserved, and deleted. Hovering on the individual legends of the graph displays the count of devices deleted.

Deleted Device

This table lists information about the devices that are deleted from Endpoints.

  • Device Name - Displays the name of the deleted device.

  • User Name - The name of the user whose device was deleted.

  • Custom Attribute Name - Name of the attribute in the AD server. For more information, see AD Settings page.

  • Custom Attribute Value - The value of the attribute in the AD server.

​ The value in the Custom Attribute Name and Value fields will be visible only when you have enabled User-Identifier Custom Attribute in the AD/LDAP settings as well as opted to display the User-Identifier Custom Attribute on the Users page.


  • User Email ID - The email address of the user whose device was deleted.

  • User Status - Displays the status of the user the deleted device is associated with.

  • Profile Name - Displays the name of the profile the user is associated with.

  • Last Backup Status - Displays the status of the last backup of the device.

    • If the backup completes successfully without any error, the status is displayed as Backed Up successfully.

    • If the backup fails, the status is displayed as Backup Failed.

    • If a backup was never performed on the device, the status is displayed as Never Backed Up.

​Considerations

  • The displayed status is of the last ended backup (either successful or failed backup).

  • Backup status is only updated when another backup ends (either successful or failed backup). It is not updated in case a backup is interrupted due to network failure, aborted by a user due to device shutdown, or restarted during an ongoing backup.


  • Last Completed Backup - Displays the date and time when the last backup of the deleted device was completed. The column will show blank for devices that have not yet connected to inSync Cloud or the first backup is yet to complete.

  • Backup Data (MB) - Displays the total size of backed-up data for the device. Total size is a combination of incremental and differential backup data for the device.

  • Device OS - Displays the OS platform of the device.

  • Last Connected - Displays the date and time when the device last connected to inSync Cloud. The column will show blank for devices that have not yet connected to inSync Cloud.

  • Deleted On - Displays the date and time when the device was deleted.

  • Deleted By - Displays details of the method used to delete the device. For example, if an Endpoints administrator has manually deleted the device, this column will display the Email address of the administrator.

    • Email address of the administrator - This will be displayed if this device was manually deleted by an administrator from Endpoints.

    • Auto delete Inactive Device policy - This will be displayed if this device was automatically deleted based on the Auto Delete Inactive policy specified in the user profile.

    • Auto-deletion of preserved AD/LDAP users policy - This will be displayed if this device was automatically deleted based on the AD/LDAP user preservation policy.

    • Auto-deletion of preserved users - This will be displayed if this device was automatically deleted based on the Auto-delete preserved users policy defined in the user profile.

    • Client Credentials Name - This will be displayed if this device was deleted using 'Delete a Device' API. Client Credentials is the name of the Client Credentials used by administrators while generating Client ID andSecret keyin Druva Cloud Platform Console.
