Overview

When restoring data to a device, you might see an option to scan the data for malicious files.

This ensures that the restored data is clean and devoid of viruses and malware. You can scan the data irrespective of the restore location.

When Restore Scan is enabled, you will see the Restore Scan section in the Restore to Device window.


โ— Important

  • Restore scan is not available for emails.

  • Restore scan is not supported for files beyond 1 GB in size.

  • This option is visible only when Restore scan is enabled for users. Contact your inSync Cloud administrator for more details.

  • If the Allow end users to disable scans under the Cyber Resiliency > Restore Scan Settings > Override Scanning section is NOT selected, you cannot edit or update the Quick Scan settings from the Restore to Device UI in inSync Web and Client.
