In this topic, let’s understand how to monitor the Groups data. You can enable alerts, view and download reports, view Groups activities, and view Groups audit trails.

Enable alerts

After you have configured Druva with Microsoft 365, you can choose to receive alerts when a backup or restore fails or when the storage quota is exceeded. The following alerts are supported for M365 Groups:

  • Restore status

  • Backup failure

  • Cloudapp status

Procedure

  1. On the home page, click the Alerts icon. The Manage Alerts page is displayed listing all the alerts along with their summary, top alerts types, and alerts age.

  2. Click Settings and Subscriptions to view the complete list of alerts.

  3. Select an alert and click Edit .

  4. In the Send email notifications to (subscribers) field, specify the subscribers who must receive the alerts. By default, the server administrators are notified about the alerts for SaaS Apps status.

  5. Click Save .

View and download reports

Reports contain a summary of events and activities that have occurred during a specific period. You can download or email the Groups Backup and Restore report. For more information, see Reports .

Procedure

  1. Click Reports > Groups Backup and Restore Report .

  2. You can either download the report or email it.

    1. Click Email . Specify the email recipient and the report format. Click Send .

    2. Click Download to download the report in HTML or CSV format.

View Storage details

You can view details such as the storage summary, usage growth, and usage by profile.

Procedure

  1. Click Settings > Storage .

  2. Click the required storage name to view its details.

View Groups activities

The Activity Stream page displays details of the completed Groups activities.

Procedure

  1. Click the Group namefor which you want to monitor the activities.

  2. On the Activity Stream tab, select the Activity and Type and click Download Logs to view the activity logs for a specific time period. Logs are downloaded as <activity_log_group> file in .txt format. Separate log files are generated for Groups, Site, and Planner.

Alternatively, you can use the filter to search and view specific activity logs for specific Activity and Type for a specific time interval for a specific status.

View Live Activities

The Live Activities page displays the current progress of ongoing backup or restore activities of all Groups including Site and Planner.

  • Click the clock icon to view the backup or restore progress of Groups.

Click any ongoing backup or restore activity in progress to view activity details. The Activity Details dialog displays the backup or restore summary and live progress of Groups and its associated apps.

View Groups audit trails

The Audit Trails page displays details about the activities performed by users and administrators.

Procedure

  1. Click Audit Trails .

  2. Navigate to Admin Audit Trail .

  3. In the Activity Type , select Groups .
