πŸ“ Note

For MSC Provisioned Customers in the MSC portal, a Sandbox customer with the Default Service Plan is automatically created when the first MSP administrator is created.

To create a new customer

  1. Log in to the Managed Services Center console, and select Customers from the menu. The Customers page opens, displaying a list of MSC Provisioned customers by default.

    πŸ“ Note
The Druva Provisioned tab will be available only if a Druva Provisioned customer is created.

  2. On the Customers page, click Create Customer. The Create Customer window appears.

  3. On the Create Customer window, enter the appropriate information in all the required fields of the Account Details section.

    • Customer Name - Provide the name of the customer.

      πŸ“ Note

Select the Hide Customer Name from Druva option if you want to hide the customer name from Druva. However, you must provide an alternate name in the Account Name field that will help Druva identify customers internally.

    • Account Name - Provide an account name by which Druva should identify the customer. This field will help you create an identity that does not reveal the actual customer name to Druva.

      πŸ“ Notes

      • The Account Name field will be displayed if you have selected the Hide Customer Name from Druva option in the Customer Name field.

      • Once you enter the account name, you cannot change it.

    • Address - Provide the physical address of the customer.

    • Phone Number - Provide the phone number of the customer.

    • Tenant Admin - A Tenant administrator can manage the tasks only for the assigned tenants. You can assign multiple tenant administrators to a single customer account. For more information about the roles and privileges of a tenant administrator, see Role-based access.

      πŸ“ Note

If any tenant administrator is in a pending state, you cannot assign that administrator to any customer. Attempting to do so will result in an error.

    • Customer Type - Select the Customer Type as MSC Provisioned or Druva Provisioned. For more information, see About MSC Provisioned and Druva Provisioned customers.

      • MSC Provisioned - The Licensing and management of these customers is handled by MSP.

      • Druva Provisioned - The Licensing of these customers is done by Druva and the management is done by MSP, along with access to additional products.

  4. Select the Customer Type and click Save.

You will receive an email confirmation on the registered email address after successful customer creation. You can view the newly added customer on the Customers listing page.

  5. If you selected Druva Provisioned as the Customer Type, a Confirmation dialog box will appear. Select Confirm if you want to mark the customer as a Druva Provisioned customer.

  6. The MSC Provisioned and Druva Provisioned Customers are listed on the respective tabs of the Customers page.
