How do I enable Microsoft Dynamics 365 backup in Druva?

What are the Druva roles that can manage Microsoft Dynamics 365 protection in Druva?

Only cloud administrators have full permission for Microsoft Dynamics 365 protection. These admins have the ability to view/backup/restore/download objects and containers.

What permissions does Druva need to protect Dynamics 365 data?

How do I run an ad-hoc backup job?

Where do I get a list of all backups?

The Backups tab of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 backup set overview page provides a list of all backups. See Backup tab.

Can I restore data from multiple snapshots?

No, you can select and restore data from one snapshot only.

What is a job?

A job can be a backup job, a restore job, or a download job (when you request a download of a snapshot’s data.

Where can I see all the jobs?

The jobs page provides the list of all the jobs tied to Microsoft Dynamics 365 backup.

How do I reinstall the Druva app on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 tenant?

On the overview page, click the Re-Install button in the top-right corner. The remaining steps are identical to the initial installation process.

What happens if I register a new Microsoft Dynamics 365 tenant when I reinstall the app?

If you register a new tenant, then Druva backs up data from your current tenant while the data backed up from your previous tenant stays as is, alongside the new one.

No action is needed if you are reinstalling the app in the same tenant.

After reinstalling the application, environments are not automatically discovered. Users need to click the refresh button to initiate a manual discovery. This is because the application checks for empty environments to trigger discovery. In reinstallation scenarios, environments from the old tenant are already present, so automatic discovery does not occur.

If I disable backups, can I still restore the data?

Yes, you can still restore data from previously created backups. However, no new backups will be created while the backup feature is turned off.

I chose not to enable Cloud Key Management during setup. Will this impact my setup?

Yes, Druva cannot run scheduled backups of your data if Cloud Key Management is disabled. However, you can still perform backups manually.
