Getting Started with Druva for Microsoft Dynamics 365

Once you have a license and your account is activated, you can start the data protection process with Druva. Here's an overview of everything you need to get started and perform actions such as backup, restore, and monitor.

Step 1: Installation and Tenant Registration

To protect your customer data seamlessly, you need to install the Druva application in your tenant to facilitate secure data flow. Once installed, customer environments are automatically discovered, streamlining the setup process. Refer to prerequisites to ensure everything is in place before installation. For a step-by-step guide to install and register the tenant refer to Part 1: Register Your Tenant.

Step 2: Configure Backup Settings

After registering your tenant, configure the backup settings in the console by creating one or multiple Backup sets. For more details, see Part 2: Configure the backup.

📝Note: During this step, the wizard will prompt you to enable Cloud Key Management (cloud KMS). If your organizational policies require complete control over the encryption of data backed up by Druva, you can skip enabling Cloud KMS and opt for Enterprise Key Management (BYOK) by reaching out to support.

Please note that scheduled backups will not start until KMS is enabled. However, you can still perform manual backups. For more details see Enable Key Management.

Step 3: Post Configuration

Manage and monitor all environments from the Environment Listing Dashboard. This dashboard provides a comprehensive summary of your applications, live activities, and a concise overview of each environment, including key details such as number of protected entities, the number of backup sets, and more. For additional information, refer to the Environment Listing Page.

For job-specific insights, navigate to the Jobs Dashboard, where you can view ongoing and completed backup, restore, and download jobs. Click on a Job ID to access detailed information about a specific job. For further details, refer to Accessing the Jobs Page.
