Summary
This article describes how to change the inSync password on the client side. This password can be used to activate a new client or for restoring files using inSync Web Restore.
Changing the inSync Password in inSync 5.x
A user can change the existing password by right clicking the inSync icon in the system tray and then clicking Configure > Settings > Set Password.
Note: It is not possible to set this password from the client if the Administrator has configured an option to use Active Directory (AD) integration.
Configuring Web Restore Password in inSync 4.x
The user can configure the Web Restore password by right clicking the inSync icon in the system tray and then clicking Configure > Restore > Web Restore Credentials > Set Password.

It is not possible to set this password if the Administrator has configured an option to use Active Directory (AD) integration.
