Overview
A password policy in Druva Cloud Platform (DCP) is a set of rules that encourages the use of strong passwords to ensure added data security.
Note that only a Druva Cloud Administrator can manage these settings. The policy is enabled by default with these mandatory settings:
Password Strength: Passwords must be 12-64 characters long and include a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
Password History: You cannot reuse any of your last five passwords.
Login Lockout: After five failed login attempts, an account is locked for 30 minutes to prevent unauthorized access.
Password Expiration (Configurable)
Passwords must be changed regularly to maintain security. The default expiration is 60 days for both Public and GovCloud accounts.
Public Cloud: Passwords can be set to expire every 1 to 99 days.
GovCloud: Passwords can be set to expire every 1 to 60 days.
To view or update the password expiry settings, navigate to Druva Console > Druva Cloud Settings > Access Settings. The only configurable setting in the Password Policy section is password expiration.
