Overview
By default, administrators can access user data and logs across your organization. However, you can:
Prevent all administrators (including yourself) from accessing user data.
Allow users to prevent administrator access to data.
Prevent all administrators (including yourself) from accessing the inSync Client logs from user devices.
Allow users to prevent administrator access to the inSync Client logs on user devices.

You can manage the user backup data privacy policy and logs privacy policy for inSync through profiles. You cannot do this on an individual user level.
User data privacy policy does not apply to legal administrators. Legal administrators can access user data even if:
You as an administrator have prevented administrators from accessing user data.
Users have prevented administrators from accessing their data.
Scenario 1:
Administrator has access to user's backup data and inSync Client logs
Administrator has allowed the user to edit Backup Data Privacy Settings and Logs Privacy Settings

The Data Privacy and Logs Privacy checkboxes are visible to the users on the inSync Client and inSync Web interface.
Users can prevent administrators from accessing their data by disabling the Data Privacy checkbox.

Configure user data privacy settings
To configure user data privacy settings:
On the Endpoints console, click Profiles.
Select the profile for which you want to configure the user data privacy settings.
Select Edit at the top right and click the General tab.
Under User Privacy & Access settings area select the following checkboxes:
If you want administrators to download users' backup or share data, enable the Allow admin access to user backup data checkbox. You can set this option only once. If you choose to prevent administrator access to user data, you cannot change this setting again.
If you want users to prevent administrators from accessing their data, enable the Allow users to edit data privacy settings checkbox.
If you want administrators to access the inSync Client logs on user devices, enable the Allow admin access to logs checkbox.
If you want users to prevent administrators from accessing inSync Client logs on user devices, enable the Allow users to edit logs privacy settings checkbox.
Click Save.

โIf you move a user from one profile to another, the privacy settings of the new profile are reflected for the user. However, moving users to another profile depends on the user privacy settings set at the profile level and the user level. For more information, see Update the profile assigned to users.
