Overview

The Druva Salesforce App offers a comprehensive suite of licensing options designed to cater to diverse data protection and management needs within Salesforce environments. This document provides detailed insights into the available license types, their associated features, and guidelines for effective license management.
Druva's licensing framework encompasses four primary license types:​

  • Enterprise License for Backup: Ideal for organizations seeking essential backup and restore capabilities.

  • Elite License for Backup: Offers advanced features, including high-frequency backups and GDPR compliance tools

  • Sandbox Seeding License: Facilitates efficient data copying between production and sandbox environments, streamlining development and testing processes.

  • Data Archiver License: Enables archiving of stale data to optimize Salesforce storage and performance.

Each license type is tailored to specific use cases, ensuring that organizations can select the most appropriate solution based on their operational requirements. The document further elaborates on the features supported by each license, providing a clear matrix for comparison.​

Licensing Consumption

The Druva Salesforce App consumes an active user license with the Standard Salesforce user type license. This user type also includes Salesforce Platform and Salesforce Platform One user licenses.

When you share an environment with other users, the shared users will not be able to view the associated licenses in the Usage section on the Environment Hub page.


License Guidelines for Org Association

When associating a Salesforce Org with backup or seeding licenses, please refer to the considerations below.

Primary requirement to claim Complimentary Sandbox:

You must first associate a Production Org with your Backup or Seeding license.

Backup License – Free Sandbox Usage

  • You can associate one (1) Full Sandbox without affecting the license count.

  • You can associate unlimited Developer, Developer Pro, and Partial Copy sandboxes from that same Production org without affecting the license count.

Seeding License – Free Sandbox Usage

  • You can associate unlimited Full, Developer, Developer Pro, and Partial Copy sandboxes from that same Production org without affecting the license count.

View and manage the license details

You can view and manage the license details from the License page. You can see the following information:

Column

Description

License Edition

Specifies the type of license, which are as follows:

  • Sandbox Seeding

  • Salesforce Enterprise Backup

  • Salesforce Elite Backup

Click the arrow adjacent to the license edition listing to view the associated organizations and allocated users with a license.

Subscription Term

Specifies the license expiration date.

Total allowed users

Specifies the number of users associated with the license type.

Org ID

The organization ID for the Salesforce instance.

Licensed User

Name of the licensed user

Free License

Total Number of complementary licenses

User name

Name of Salesforce user

Created Date

Date and time when the Org is associated with the License

Authentication

Status of org authentication like:

  • Authenticated

  • Failed to authenticate to Salesforce org
