Protection Insights is a centralized monitoring and configuration hub designed to provide a real-time overview of your data protection health. Protection Insights allows administrators to track backup compliance, identify critical failures, and manage alerting rules across an entire environment from a single interface.
Note: Data protection is not monitored for deleted, expired, or suspended tenants.
Core Components
Protection Insights is organized into four primary sections, each serving a specific role in maintaining a robust backup environment:
Overview Dashboard: Provides a high-level snapshot of your environment's health through two key widgets: Backup Success Rate and Recovery Point Objective.
Data Protection Violations: Acts as the central command for troubleshooting. It allows you to investigate specific failing resources.
Data Protection Rules: You can define thresholds based on specific evaluation parametersāfor example, specifying the number of permitted backup failures before an alert is triggered.
Subscription Management: The automated notification system that ensures stakeholders receive email alerts based on a preferred schedule (e.g., Daily, Hourly, or Weekly digests).
