Overview
This report provides a comprehensive view of license utilization within your customers’ Microsoft 365 (M365) environment. The report offers both weekly and monthly breakdowns. You can monitor the number of users added and removed each week and month, giving you a clear picture of user growth. It allows you to analyze license allocation, identify potential unused licenses, and optimize M365 licensing costs.
Weekly report
The weekly report has a start and end date. It provides statistics on the total number of users added and deleted, Microsoft 365 active, and preserved licenses allocated and consumed over seven days.
Monthly report
The weekly report has a start and end date. It provides statistics on the total number of users added and deleted, Microsoft 365 active, and preserved licenses allocated and consumed over a month.
The combination of global customer ID, customer name, and account name provides a powerful tool for identifying specific entries in a large dataset.
There are a few quick filters that you can use to filter out the data quickly based on specific requirements such as service plan and customer name. The use of quick filters enhances the usability of the reports and provides more targeted insights. The following table lists details of the quick filters.
Quick Filter | Description |
Service plan | Use this filter to view data based on specific service plans. Select one or more plans from the dropdown list to narrow down your results. |
Customer Name | Use this filter to view data for a specific customer. Start typing the customer's name and select the matching entry from the autocomplete list. |
📝Note:
The MSC fetches data of reports within a maximum of 6-12 hours
It might take 24 to 48 hours for the data to appear in this report if a new customer or tenant is added to MSC.
To access the report:
Go to Managed Services Center (MSC) > Reports > Microsoft 365 > License Usage Report
The following table lists the fields in the License Usage Report
Field | Description |
Global Customer ID | A Unique Universal Identifier for a customer |
Customer Name | Name of the customer. |
Account Name | Name by which Druva should identify the customer.
Note: Account name and customer may be the same for some customers if Admin has not selected the option Hide Customer Name from Druva while creating a new customer.

From date | The start date of the report. |
To Date | The end date of the report. |
Users Added | The number of users that are added to Microsoft 365. |
Users Deleted | The number of users that are deleted from Microsoft 365. |
Total Active License | The total number of Microsoft 365 active licenses that are allocated in Microsoft 365 to date for a given week or month. |
Active License Used
| The total number of Microsoft 365 active licenses that are consumed in Microsoft 365 to date for a given week or month. |
Total Preserved License
| The total number of Microsoft 365 preserved licenses that are allocated in Microsoft 365 to date for a given week or month. |
Preserved License Used | The total number of Microsoft 365 preserved licenses that are consumed in Microsoft 365 to date for a given week or month. |
Actions

Action | Description |
Add filter | Creates filters to display the report based on the filter’s selection. |
Rearrange column | Changes the order of the columns in the license usage details table. You can change the order of the columns in the table by dragging a column and dropping it to the required position within the table. |
Manage Subscription | Create a subscription to receive the reports on schedule. |
